Consider the 'railroad' to connect the inner side HAYES -
the modem to Speccy. Due to the fact that the authors of these
letters do not pointed out that reprinting in magazines banned,
I allow myself quote here the schema. Yes, and I would not want
to make the people they sought with such same difficulties as
me.
So, here we go:

-+------------------------------------- Difference between the
scheme of the prototype method of issuing interrupts to the
computer. Because possible alter ROMs have
nebylo, we decided to use a conventional
INT, rather than NMI. Interrupt Handling
made in the mode of IM2. Must
noted that the issue of termination on
computer from the modem is accompanied by
change the interrupt vector, which is easily
tracked mode IM2. Thus
retained the ability to work with
interrupts coming from the computer.
No other differences and programs that
do not use the interrupt from the modem
the same will work on any version of
scheme.

Personally, I plugged the modem in the first
scheme (Shepeleva) because while the other
did not. Seems to work is not bad
Although people disliked this scheme,
prefer Kondratieff. There is also talk that it is obligatory to
fast modems with buffering scheme Kondratiev, besides new
terminalka (Judging by the reviews pretty cool)
only works with this scheme! In general,
Choose ...
And finally, some words about
nutrition. If you have pC'shny block
nutrition, problemma not arise - there
has all the right voltage. Otherwise
event will gather a small
shemku, forming voltage-5V and
-12V. This scheme leads to the Journal
"OBERON # 5." If you do not have it, do not
discouraged scheme elementary, its
can make any beginner: transformer, diode bridge, 3 capacitors
and 2 KREN'ki - stabilizers negative voltages. ABOVE ALL, do
not forget connect the common wire of this unit
power to that already feeds your
computer!
By the way, look at the modem connector
maybe you will not need to do
additional power supply.
Good luck!
