Professional audio processing on a PC
Once I got to thinking: Is it possible on the PC to make
processing of sound at a level close to a professional. In some
magazine I read that on the PC software
there is not that, they say, and it appears not yet
soon. Desperate, I and nothing on
counted.
But once, on a pirate CD, I found

4.0c + Plugin's. In the program a lot of effects
and functions that are needed for professional work with sound.
It is worth noting, intuitive user interface, mapping of the
processes occurring on the screen. Program Sound Forge supports
large number of different audio file formats and can use a

without problems with large audio files.
What can Sound Forge??? Let us together
look:
1. Reverb and chorus, modern life is not

2. Compression and stretching of the sound (with no impact on
its altitude). Not bad, not true!
3. Changing the pitch.
4. Equalizers (2 types, one can easily
give the desired sound tonal coloration).
5. Dynamic processing (using a dynamic processing, you can
narrow or expand the dynamic range of the signal to limit the
audio level, remove noise, lying below a specified level, there
is a dynamic multi-band filter).
6. Funds for restoration and cleaning of phonograms (remove
unwanted noise from sound files => possibility of the
restoration old phonograms).
7. Spectral analysis (lets see
spectral picture of the entire file or selected area sound
waves).
8. Lots of special effects.
9. Sound synthesis (allows you to get complicated
sound effects, or imitate sounds
analog synthesizer).
10. Editing samples.
One of the strengths of the Sound Forge - it sounds great
editing capabilities for further use in samplers. The
composition includes Sound Forge Loop Tuner - a tool for
creating and special editing samples.
This technique (looping) allows
achieve an arbitrarily long playing short sounds in sampler. To
start editing using Loop
Tuner, you must first select a mouse that
part of your sample, you want to turn into a loop, and execute
Special / Edit Sample. Then, in the auxiliary menu that
appears, you need to put a mark in titles Sustaining (or
Sustaining with Release), Infinite Loop and click OK. Now you
can use the tool itself Loop Tuner command View / Loop Tuner. In
top window shows all your recorded track in full, and the
bottom you see in maximizing the place, "joint" beginning and
end of the allocation. Our challenge now is how to
