Hello GNTB By the way, why not do the same Dizzy, only without jumping and acrobatics, but with a vast labyrinthine world?

From Ignat Nikiforov To All 12 April 2006

Hello, All What kind of unhealthy situation is this??????? When there is a discussion about what games the platform needs, everyone immediately starts to remember stupid arcade games with Dendy (Famicom, NES). I don't argue, Contra and Chip 'n' Dale are good, but how much can Specky be turned into a platform for cheap remakes? Remember better: 2112 AD, Feud, The Adventures of Pinocchio, The Rocky Horror Show, A week in the life of the Thing! (Thing!). Don't you know any of these? Download - look... IMHO, this genre is the face of the platform. Particularly noteworthy is the domestic film "The Adventures of Pinocchio", which is especially successful a combination of a light adventure game and a quest. What are you saying? Dizzy sequels? Yes, Dizzy is a legend... But! (!!!) Dizzy and Slightly Magic, this is a quest + arcade platformer, but not a quest + walker... :( Give me Labyrinths! I am deeply convinced that these genres need to be revived, both on Spectrum and on PC, Mac and whatever else there may be... I will do everything in my humble power for this genre. And I encourage you to do the same! :v2_conf2:

Hello GNTB After thinking about the results of the genre survey, I realized that It will be best if everyone develops something that appeals to them personally itself, and there seem to be fans for every genre. As far as I can imagine the modern needs of game writers, then help developers can primarily use graphics and a competent plot, so decide whichever is closer to you :)

From Alexander Tokmakov To All 13 April 2006

Hello GNTB They offered to hook up with Larry. Who would take it? :)

From Ignat Nikiforov To All 14 April 2006

Hello, Kpa3 It was primarily about a labyrinth adventure with quest elements. And about the adventure game in general. I personally don’t like piss quests where the player is stuck in two screens. An adventure game with simple tasks: open a jar - look for the opener. Collect everything medicinal plants - prepare an infusion for your sick brother (friend, grandfather). There is an empty bottle - fill it with water. Or just an adventure with picking berries in a big scary forest, searching for parts for repairs at an alien base, etc. The main thing is that the hero should NOT be a fighter, otherwise it will be a different, more widespread genre.

From TomCaT To All 27 April 2006

Hello GNTB Give me labyrinth generators for an adventure game. If something happens, the playing field is behind me. I won’t let you down (if there are graphics).

From TomCaT To All 27 April 2006

Hello, Kpa3 Kpa> They offered to hook up with Larry. Who would take it? Who will draw and convert graphics? There will be graphics - I can start :D). And there, maybe someone will continue... But if he doesn’t, then you can do it that way.

From TomCaT To All 30 April 2006

Hello TomCaT Suggestion: There is no plot yet, maybe outline a general look? 1) what does All say, it would be nice to have an adventure game that looked... well, like a screensaver for the first level of Voyage... (something there, in general, a journey to the center of the earth, where the scientist walks a couple of screens from house to house)? 2) point 1 could be implemented on something like the Death Wish 3 engine, but replacing stupid shooter plot based on a normal quest with items. 3) if possible, create the playing field (city/village/...) anew each time.

From Robus To All 1 May 2006

Hello TomCaT Tom> 2) point 1 could be implemented on something like the Death Wish 3 engine Tom> but replacing the stupid shooter plot with a normal quest with items. Why Death Wish-3? Yours!!! If you want, I can write an engine that will Everything is beautiful and high quality, and most importantly, it’s your own!

From TomCaT To All 2 May 2006

Hello Robus And what will it look like? “Beautiful and high quality” is always respect, but I would like to know something more specific in advance, before I have expended energy on mysterious engine. Death Wish 3 - I don't mean the engine code, but its interface and appearance. Agree - thoughtful and not bad, eh? If something like its upgrade: then I agree without looking ;) And in the sense that your own is always better, more convenient, clearer and closer to the heart - I agree completely.

From Vladimir Berezenko To All 2 May 2006

Hello TomCaT Heh. watch Homer Simpson - 1 and 2.

From TomCaT To All 3 May 2006

Hello, Q-Master Where can I see this? Link, please.

From Demon Adramelek To All 3 May 2006

Hello TomCaT Tom> Where can I look at this? On VTRD, of course. Homer Simpson in Russia or something like that.

From TomCaT To All 3 May 2006

Hello, Adramelek Yeah. Beautiful, but the top view is good for using color. And bad for aesthetics. For me, half-black and white Death Wish III is better.

From Ignat Nikiforov To All 5 May 2006

Hello TomCaT Your auto-signature, comrade, I see, is also from the famous adventure game, though with a huge slope into the arcade... Although visually, the same "Adventures of Pinocchio" resembled the aforementioned "Robin of the wood". What did not stop "Pinocchio" from carrying elements of the quest and not containing action elements... I agree, design does not always determine the idea...

From Yuri Potapov To All 5 May 2006

Hello GNTB Towirischi... this thread very quickly turned into a flood... everyone wants new ones games but no one wants to invent anything... THAT'S NOT HOW THINGS ARE DONE have an idea? throwing it at the masses no? come up with and here I see nostalgic groans, oh how good everything was... and there’s nothing more
