Hello, All
I don’t understand this game Odin, when Specky was only 3 years old.
WHY weren’t there any of these later? And about Robin there is nothing more worthwhile...
But still. Forest/castle labyrinth 16x16 with 1x2 rooms (and therefore 6
possible exits from rooms, sometimes blocked) is very well done. But
becomes boring. I would like to change it, in particular, attach a bootloader with a generator
space :cool;
A; Therefore, a request to All, has anyone already been occupied with this task? Isn't it
code outline? Addresses, appearances, last names - everything is for future use. The main thing, of course,
address of the labyrinth, format to find out...
As I understand it, one of two things. Or 1) the rooms are immediately described by numbers
background sprites and characters allowed to appear, or 2) numbers indicate
a separate array of rooms where their patterns are described
(to save money, given that some of the rooms will be repeated - but for
entanglement is only a +).
I would really like to remake the game as “new every time”.

Hello TomCaT
Tom> Odin didn’t play this game at all when Specky was only 3 years old

debatable. Ultrasoft's Sherwood (1992) also has its charms. Although Odin
Computer Graphics made the game at a level unprecedented at that time.
Tom> I would really like to remake the game as “new every time.”
If we're going to remix it, then it's not just a labyrinth.

Hello diver
Why not just a labyrinth? I don't like remixes because they rarely come out
worthwhile, and not just in a new way in its own way. And if it does, how?
rule, new, different. But I would like to preserve the spirit of the game, just so that they become
all the maps drawn during sleepless nights are at once irrelevant (why the hell pulled me
I once drew, now I run along the beaten path, and I’m not happy myself).

Hello, goodboy
literally there is still such a question, and it’s time to put it to a separate vote
(I'm not threatening :) I'm sighing). And delete from here. And then as you write, then about
no one will remember the topic.

Hello TomCaT
you just state everything very categorically, I agree robin - excellent
toy, but besides it there are other good adventure games, I agree that this topic
they don't apply.

Hello, goodboy
Ultrasoft's Sherwood (1992) also has its charms.
Yes. Based on an anti-folklore film. And although all films change history and
seminal ballads, but SO.
However, the basis in Robin of the Wood is also ~.
After digging around, I found these places:
D1E9 direction pressing test
(CC85) coordinates on screen
BFED screen exit check
(C548) screen coordinates packed
and then complications. Obviously, the CALL sequence comes from address C02A,
changing screens. Presumably
D03F - preparation of buffers
C072 - background of trees
C75E - ent, bishop and hermit
C444 - doors
C40e - items.
Is it so? Moreover, the screens by code are indicated in table 79F9, but it seems that not only
in it (partitions in the middle somewhere else). Descriptions of the screen type by code are also in
another packed table.
Theoretically, by swapping codes, you can change the labyrinth, even if the contours
Leave the lock and door. But partitions and permissions for characters on the screen are still
are lying somewhere.
