No, I have 128k there, maybe something was configured wrong, but I don't
copy everything to the ram disk, at least the editor doesn't fit there. If you teach

=8-[ ] and a 128 KB ramdisk editor won’t fit????
I could fit an editor, and a bunch of utilities, a bat processor, all the text editors
necessary for the system, menus, I don’t remember what else, and there were still blocks left to work with
120!

PS: True, as far as I remember, I packed some comas into SFX packs ;-)

I never liked menus (although the authors made them very well); everything is on hot
keys. I recently loaded the isdos - I still remember everything.

But this is interesting... There are already comas of a penny length.

DN> I will say thank you.
Copy to RAM-disk only those editor components that you often need
(reading the existing help), the same for other directories: ext*.txt, exebat.com,
tv.com, free.com, arzt+.com, delete.com, no. files from the catalog PRINT,
cres/set.com... You copy the resulting set sv_image to a floppy disk (I do not recommend using a firmware designed for a RAM disk, because it did not warn about the
saved partition before copying the image to a RAM disk).
I think there were 85 blocks left for texts (if necessary, the space
was increased by adding programs that were not needed in a given session), this was a long time ago, because I made 256 kilos back in late 95th - early 96th. At the same time
the floppy disk with isdos was practically not used after booting the system.

Apparently it’s default - at 48K only.

DN> only I don’t copy everything to the ram disk, at least the editor doesn’t fit there

What, all? Why is he all there? It makes sense to keep at most half of the editor's files there, the rest can be flopped. Do you know what the Q: and S: drives are and how
they differ? If not, I'm too lazy to quote the documentation here.

DN> If you teach me how to work in IS-DOS without any brakes, I'll thank you.

As far as I remember, you have an ancient 1992 era. This can only be cured by replacing it. The new isdos has been heavily optimized. Precisely _algorithmically_, I even spoke with
the author on this topic. A lot has been licked. I can even post the news here
although it won’t be the latest, Oper is much more up to date.
