ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»

From Zhenya Grigoriev To All 30 June 2005

Hello All!

What subjects can be connected to the spec?
It’s quite difficult to get a screw smaller than 20 GB.

Bye!

Any with an IDE interface. For example, I have two screws - 210MB and 420MB. I can
put on much larger ones, I just don’t see the point yet.

Maksagor, NedoPC group. ATM-turbo 2+

Can you be a little more detailed about this device. I mean, it needs to be soldered somewhere
or it can be plugged in instead of the drive controller, otherwise I have
Delta-C 128.

Bye!

With the existing software - up to 128 GB.
LBA 48 is programmed a little differently to another.

Any IDE

Size doesn’t matter ;)

Naturally, I need to get and solder an IDE controller for Speck. And then connect the screw to it. You can buy a screw controller for Specky (any) from us at NedoPC group. You can get information on our website http://nedopc.com
or soap to Chunin Roman - chunin[dog]infpres.com

P.S. My controller is originally an integral part of the motherboard
computer (PC ATM-turbo 2+).

Of course, solder it, it doesn’t work any other way on Spectrums :) And the floppy drive
will still be useful to you.

As I understand it, the question was with the following context - is it possible to connect screws
of large volumes (for example 120GB ;)), that is, is there firewood for them and is
supported by the file system, does it even make sense to install a large
screw, will it be possible to drive it right into the Spectrum and use it in the most
active way?
A the fact that their connectors are identical means it is possible (at least physically),
it’s already clear =)

With rules, Danil aka Merlin/ULG
