upper memory

ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»

From George Valnin To All 5 September 2000

Hello, All!
* Original written in CODE.ZX
* Copied in ZX.SPECTRUM
* Copied in REAL.SPECCY
* Copied in ZXNET.SOFT

I ask competent people to soap or throw in the echo brief information about the numbers
ports and the assignment of bits in them for switching upper memory pages in
machines known to you (KAY, Scorpion, Profi, ATM...). This is for the debugger.

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: Lamers and unsure people, please do not worry.

Sincerely, George aka -=GPV=-.

port #7ffd

nn0rspag 0-2 memory page 0-7
│└─── 3 active screen 0-#4000 1-#7c000
└──── 4 active ROM 0-rom128 1-rom48

port #1ffd

???h???s 0 during installation connects page 8
│ RAM instead of ROM, the ability to exit to DOS (!)
└──── 4 during installation connects the top 8 pages of RAM
I can’t describe the meaning of the remaining bits for a reason lack
of literature at the moment

Have you tried? There is no way he can include it there,
the shadow service will die there. It turns on page zero
