Hello, All !
After installing hayes on the Spectrum and two days (two nights :)) of using
MELON 1.80, the idea arose to put together a subject.
I would like to hear All’s opinion regarding the choice of port for the subject. IMHO, for many owners of hayes on the Spectrum, the subject would be very useful, so we need to make a
standard.
So, you only need one bit, just to _turn off_ the power...
Sincerely, Evgeniy aka EVP-SOFT

Hi All!
Evgeniy’s software is not configured a bit, I had to forward it :(

It would probably be convenient to use port #E7F7. Those with port #EFF7
will only need two items. Well, a trigger.
It would be interesting to _turn on_ the computer using the CMOS clock, it has an “alarm clock”.
All the best.
Roman.

That's true. By the way, someone please draw a diagram of
the CMOS connection, taking into account switching on/off by alarm.
I'll post it on ZX_Server.

Hasta la vista.

PS I bought a KR512VI1 on the market today! So be my little guy with a watch!
And on the offtopic, one very good person helped me fasten the watch.
So now I’m fascinated from all sides - beware of rule breakers! :)

I don’t understand why you should turn OFF the POWER on a computer!!!
I can understand that it makes sense to set the alarm to _reset_ the computer to
stop the execution of the program (I can give you a diagram), but
I don’t understand why to turn it OFF. Does he really consume so much
that he has to save money??? Yes, and probably it should be turned off
at night after the mailer calls the boss... Isn’t it easier in the morning
for the user to manually turn it off?
If you turn it off, then immediately turn it on at a given time!
And the more often it turns off, the higher the likelihood of a breakdown.

Turning on - by the "alarm clock".
Switching off - by port.

First you need to decide: is it really necessary.
The device will turn out pretty good cumbersome.
All the best.

What, is there a big diagram?! What happens there due to the interruption from the clock?

Well, why does it need to stand turned on all night?
My RU7s get hot like a stove... I should install a SIMM.
And the percentage too. It's hot in my computer...

Yes. But there is a lot of fuss with all this. Too lazy to do it.
All the best.
