From Nikolaj Amosov To All 16 December 2001

Hello, Yuri!

Wednesday December 12, 2001 01:39:49 Yuri Potapov -> Kirill Frolov:

YP>>> I looked through the documentation on IS-Dos...
YP>>> I tormented the system itself... and I had questions of answers
YP>>> to which
YP>>> I did not see
KF>> I looked badly.

YP> what is...

YP>>> 1 from what address can you place a .com file in isdos
KF>> Starting from the area behind BASIC, i.e. 23900 approximately. There
KF>> in some
KF>> Leontief dock
KF>> it was written.

YP> I wonder where this some kind of dock is... :)

I was throwing in the soap. Has it really not arrived? Maybe in an echo? Who else needs
it? And how does the moderator look at this?

YP>>> 2 how much memory is provided to the user, at what
YP>>> address
YP>>> inclusive

KF>> Before the start of the disk cache.

Probably still until the end of the cache, since it grows downwards.

YP> and where does it begin?

We need to look in the kernel configuration vector:

ld c,#10
rst #10
exx

HL now points to the kernel configuration vector. At offset +5
is the address of the beginning of the cache. At offset +7 cache size in blocks of
260 bytes.
