Space Server
ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»
From Konstantin Samoylov → To All 8 June 1999
Here are recommendations for placing orders on the server.
To order something you need to write it in a message addressed to the server
with soap. _Only Netmail!!!_
My server name: Space Server. Address to which you should write: 2:5050/59
Orders are accepted only in the "subj" field.
Example of a request in the header:
================================================================
From: Vasya Pypkin 2:5020/1.999
To: Space Server 2:5050/59
Subj: texts.zip mod4win.crk
=====================================
According to this request, two files will be sent: text.zip and mod4win.crk, if
of course there are any.
It is also possible to use aliases.
What is alias? This is, as it were, the nickname of the file, upon request the file itself is given to you. An example of a generally accepted alias is %Help, which gives you a short (or not so :-)) certificate about using the server. Another generally accepted alias is %LIST, by which
you are sent a filelist - a list of files available on this system.
Current aliases:
%HELP - help with work.
%LIST - list of available files on the server.
_Letters from InterNet are not processed._
If any program does not work with 99% confidence, then
please write to me about it so that I can remove it from the list. Also, if
you notice duplicate files (programs), then pleaselet me know about this.
If there is no description of any program in the file list, then I will be very
grateful if you send me a brief description of this program
since I am not able to check so many programs.
Here, perhaps, are all the recommendations for today.
With respect, SP/PoS.
