From Sergey Kovinov → To All 22 September 1999
Hmm... I was very “pleased” by the intervention in our program.
First of all, where did the line “Test memory by Sergey Kovinov” go? I understand that there is a desire to insert my own information about the modification, but why did it have to be done to the detriment of copyright?
Secondly, the modification of the PENTAGON expansion to 1 MB could be achieved by correcting a couple of bytes in the memory tester. There is a sign for each extension. And insert the menu
before loading the general program and change these bytes.
It’s just that when writing the program there was no trace of such an extension, and if
you change the latch bit on a regular machine, you can get only 48kb of memory
instead of more.
That’s all. /Sergey/ [
