SMUC
ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»
From Kirill Frolov → To All 28 July 2001
If anyone knows the port addresses of the devices listed below from the SMUC hardware,
please bring
the information to the public. Information should be free!
So the list:
HDD controller [there is only a list of HDD ports]
RTC (clock) [nothing is clear about the register where to write 0x77]
PIC (programmable interrupt controller)
EEPROM (ppm where the settings are stored, it is also unknown what kind of chip
it is)
other devices?
It seems like the EEPROM contains the configuration shadow service in exactly
the same form
as it is saved in the 0x0f sector on the TR-DOS floppy disk. Therefore, there may
have
a program that is automatically executed when the computer is turned on.
Also of interest:
Prof-ROM: how banks are switched, their contents.
there seems to be some information on this matter.

24LC16. www.microchip.com ;)
does it hang on the ports? or does everything go through Altera?
gee. at one time I saw the internal diagram of SMUC's Altera on the screen of a pisyuk,
but I didn't think of asking to transfer it to a floppy disk ;) and they probably wouldn't have given it,
probably...
it's strange why there is still some kind of secret here. in such a time everything can
be completely broken - if there is a desire...

yup, a program for a virtual machine ;)

all that remains is to remember where exactly. I saw it somewhere too...
Damn, I spent about five hours doing all the demolition. Is it really hard to repeat, especially since the idea is known? I didn’t know anything, I just wanted a horse
rum disk, and I was too lazy to solder anything ;) and now I forgot everything...
All the best.
