Port FE, bit 5 = 0 _ALWAYS_. PRO users love to stumble over this bit...

Why does it freeze on me? (I have a scorpion converted into a pentagon)
The case is of course a curious one... the music plays and nothing more, there is no reaction to the keys
pressed. I pick up the phone and EVERYTHING WORKS!
I put it down - IT DOESN'T WORK AGAIN! %-)
I am 512% sure that this is 5 bits, it is used in Wicomma.

One day, Kirill Frolov was tormenting the keyboard, wanted to tell me
about "SED_1_01"...

Why don’t you buy a PC modem? You will get taxi
speed! I spared no expense and bought a Rockwell 33600 modem.
True, cps on the Spectrum is still lower than on a PC, but
due to the loss of time for writing a floppy disk. And if you have a screw
then it’s all right!
Sincerely, Sasha.

And I’m actually writing from a PC right now...
And in the Spectrum you need a Vicomm, because you can’t connect it to the PC
.

Yeah, it’s all there, in the pussy...

While I didn’t have a screw, I received mail on the ramdisk. Not bad either.
One hell of a deal, at the end of the session you have to throw the pkt-shki onto the TR-DOS disk.
All the best.
Roman.

AP> Why do you need a vicomm?
To connect with others wycomms.
AP> What can a wycomm do that Hayes can’t?
It will be very difficult (if not impossible) to connect with another wycomm
on a voice haes. Only perhaps on a soft modem.
AP> Perhaps the minimum speed limit ;)
What about the possibility of working on very noisy lines?
Or if a “VALUE” device is installed on the line?
Finally, it is much more convenient to transfer files between two spectra via
MMD than through all sorts of melons (well, there’s no need to learn BASIC, etc...).

1. You can make Vikomm with your own hands - for free. ;)
2. Vicomm can be licked, and he will work perfectly on the crappiest
line, where dear haes crap works.
All the best.

I’ll check again, but I strongly doubt that it’s because of it.
P.S. There will be a mouse in SED 1_02, but the current is in the interface ;)))

Are there any other assumptions? 5 bits influence one way or another, maybe
not directly, maybe something is switched there...
MD> P.S. There will be a mouse in SED 1_02, but there will be no current in the interface ;)))
Sprite output does not allow? Well, make it at least jerky like on the PC,
it’s still better than nothing...

K> Sprite output does not allow? Well, even if you make it twitchy like on the PC,
K> it’s still better than nothing...
What do you mean, twitchy? I meant that ALL procedures for working with sprites (3D rotation, shifts, window selection, etc.) are designed in such a way that they work with a shift of 1.0. Those. if you just use the mouse like a keyboard emulator and don't change anything, there won't be any acceleration! And this, IMHO, is crap. It's better without a mouse at all. And in the interface, moving the arrow with the mouse is not a problem - I just didn’t bother to provide partial support. That's why I say - when designing a project, IMMEDIATELY decide on the hardware you want to support. Otherwise
rework will lead to a waste of time!

K>> PC, still better than nothing...
MD> I mean, twitching?
Well, yes... Mazda of course. Try how pisishniks do - update
it all the time you have free time. They don’t think of linking the cursor to updating
the screen, dark people...

Why? I don’t understand... Are you passing an offset or
coordinates into the procedure?
If the offset, which as you say can only be 1,
then surely you also have it tied to the frame interruption so that
it doesn’t fly quickly? Well, don’t tie it up and it will be quick. Although it’s better
to work in coordinates. Well, the squares are probably not 1x1, but 8x8, it’s still possible
to at least move everything smoothly
But is it so difficult to redo it? It seems like there are only dots and lines...
MD> And this, IMHO, is crap. It’s better without a mouse at all.
If you were in an art studio or in Windows without a mouse, you would have tried it...
MD> And in the interface, moving the arrow from the mouse is not a problem - I just didn’t
MD> start doing partial support.
But the fact of the matter is that it’s not necessary in the interface.
MD> That’s why I say -When designing a project, IMMEDIATELY decide
MD> on the hardware you want to support. Otherwise, alterations will lead
MD> to a waste of time!
It’s not necessary to look at the hardware, but to leave the opportunity for expansion,
well, don’t mix everything into a heap, structured programming, you understand.
And it’s time to give up “effective use of ASMA” too, gain interest
20 maximum, and hemorrhoids for the rest of my life.
