Pentagon 128:
0 - bass 48
1 - bass 128 (Glitch can be here, but better below...:)
2 - tyrdos
3 - empty!
This is where the Glitch is sewn into the void.
In the pros, the start of spm and tests are sewn there.

However, in Pentagon 128 there may be problems with the exit
by reset. Initially, it falls into bass 128.
To enter the glitch, hardwired into '3', you need to set a reset on the tyrdos access trigger and block the simultaneous
activation of tyrdos and bass 128.

In the case of replacing bass 128 with Glitch, no alterations need to be made
...

Thank you for attention.

I used to sew ROMs for Pentagons, there were two firmware options:
Option1 Option2
TK> ┌─┬─────────┐#0000
TK> │0│ ???? │ CLEAR BASIC128
TK> ├─┼─────────┤#4000
TK> │1│ ???? │ TR-DOS BASIC48
TK> ├─┼─────────┤#8000
TK> │2│ ???? │ BASIC128 CLEAR
TK> ├─┼─────────┤#C000
TK> │3│ ???? │ BASIC48 TR-DOS
TK> └─┴─────────┘#FFFF

You can check which one with a simple voltmeter by measuring the signal level on the first
leg of the ROM when you are in BASIC. If "1", then option 1, if "0" then
option 2

Wow! The Protoss are attacking my Zerlings! It's time to get going. Ivan.

Something you’re saying is wrong. All my life, the Pentagon firmware was replaced with pro firmware without any modifications. And in the pros it’s hardwired like this: CPM, TR-DOS, BASIC 128,
BASIC 48. I have a programmer and I wrote “a thousand” times in this sequence and everything worked for everyone, even on the pros, even on the Pentagon. The
Pentagon simply has emptiness instead of CPM.

ZYZH And in general you are looking at the firmware in ROM backwards. :)
With respect SP/PoS.

Well, I didn’t write this. ;) You quoted the letter incorrectly.

Sincerely, SP/PoS.

Not always, or rather only in the case of a standard Pentagon. A couple of times I saw an option where there was a ZX-LPRINT III in the zero bank.
