Well, there is even more recent news... I wrote “with all possible software
control”, and the PLAY button is far from what I would like to achieve.

Yours sincerely,
Alexander Ageev. [I ZX]

Are you confused about quotation??

AA> What about MP3 via Covox? ;)

really. Vavas work normally through Scoop only in turbo mode, but to unpack MP3
you need turbo and DMA sound. And then, if the MP3 is in memory and is unpacked into memory (you need at least 4MB of RAM, preferably continuous space). And to
load from a disk (SD or screw) you need another DMA.

Neither the sound nor the turbo will help. Even 4MB of memory will not help.

But there are special chips... The mp3 flow rate can reach 40kb per
sec.,
and usually 16kb per second. used. Spectrum can pump such volumes, but only with a screw. Just a typical mp3 file length is several megabytes. Fans
of disc drives are resting... But users of tape recorders can decode mp3
directly onto their tape recorders.

What if you use General Sound with your processor?
