PROFI 512x192??
ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»

Dear Spectrumists and
programmers!
I have a PROFI+ computer, which has an extended screen
512x240 pixels only in CP/M mode. How can we modify the
scheme so that the extended screen would also be in Spectrum 128 mode?
For the Pentagon there is such a scheme, an additional graphic
mode 512x192. Is it possible to use this scheme for PROFI?
I'm looking forward to your advice. If programmatically, then what is the algorithm?
Best wishes,
Vladimir Chernikov.

No one has done this yet.

Of course not. That is, it is generally possible, but it needs to be soldered to completely different
places. And in the pro part of the circuit is in the ROM...
Look for the circuit on YOUR COMPUTER and look.

In one of the early issues of the Spectrum electronic
newspaper ONLINE there was a description of the pro screen in CP/M mode.
But for some reason it seems to me that in the Spectrum mode
it is simply not possible to turn it on will be.

Good afternoon (morning, evening, night :-) ) *Vladimir*!
And it all started on 28-Aug-01 at 22:05:59, when Vladimir Chernikov
talked to All about PROFI 512x192??
Read the Samara Electronic Magazine "INFERNO" number one,
there was a layout of ports.

easy;) firstly, it is necessary that the pro screen be not in 4 (6), but in 5 (7) banks, and secondly, the even semi-familiar places in the pro mode of the screen need to be changed with odd ones
(instead of piks, use inverse or vice versa, I don’t remember exactly). Also, if
you need software switching via #eff7, then install this port and the signals
/80ds and 80ds are taken from it, otherwise before starting the program (Lar's for example) in
basic you write: out 57341,128. In general, everything is trivial and there are a minimum of details:
multiplexer
(to put all this mess in place;), trigger + decoder #eff7.

only as a sample
See you soon, Vladimir. jtn{a}mail.ru
