That’s right, in order to connect with each other, I had to force him to change
about 10 terminals until it worked.

On this, Vladimir, let me say goodbye.

AI> Didn’t you think that the whole problem is in the offtopic, and not in Melon?

Excluded. The modem was tested in combinations "Spectrum-Spectrum" and "RS-Spectrum".
The result is the same. Moreover, a similar modem works great from Spectrum with
the same PC.

Then: All Once again I’ll outline the situation, maybe someone has suggestions:

We have 2 similar modems 2400 MNP, V42bis from different manufacturers. One of
them works great with Melon on Pentogon in different combinations (both with
PCs and with Spectrums). The second one on the same Pentagon with the same settings works without
problems in all modes except for receiving files (tested in conjunction with
PS
and with Spectrum). Everything that can be twisted both in the modem and in Melon
is twisted (fortunately there are manuals for modems).
Moreover, the file seems to be completely transferred from IBM, but then the transfer
stops and errors begin to appear, on the Spectrum at this time
the window for receiving files opens, the file data (name) is received and everything
stops...:-(. After the Melon file transfer is interrupted dumps
the received file onto the screen in the form of garbage, on the PC at this time there is a
line feed repeatedly....then you can continue the chat.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is or in what direction it is worth
digging?
PS Don’t blame the modem, since we tested 2 completely.identical
modems with the same result.

Best wishes! Vladimir Spashko

... Don't take life seriously - this is a temporary phenomenon.

As far as I know, everything was configured (Melon) for T-Mail.

Total good.
Roman.

KC> it worked.

RM> As far as I know, everything was configured (Melon) for T-Mail.

Surprisingly, during all the time I worked with Melon, there were never any problems with mail/bbs software
, but there were problems with terminals. The reason is unknown.

With that, Roman, let me say goodbye.
