ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»

From Alexey Voskresensky To All 12 June 2003

Glad to see you again, dear All!

On Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at exactly 08:03:31, the connection unexpectedly
was interrupted. I miraculously managed to detect only half-strangled:
-"Re: OUT_OF_TZX"...

>> And I already found information on ATM ports (I looked into the Alasmov
>> driver, and found out the port addresses and bit layout :))) )

MT> Is there both about ATM-1 and ATM-2?

In the built-in driver for I did the ATM like this:

port #7ffd (standard)
port #fdfd (bits 0,1,2).

All pages 0...63 are searched (without damaging information),
a list of available pages is compiled. Moreover,
intersections, etc. are taken into account.
The list is NOT continuous, there may easily be gaps in it,
for example, some pages may be missing.

This information also applies to all other firewood for other cars.

Only in the firewood for a megabyte Pentagon can there be troubles -
after all, it uses 5 bits of port #7ffd, which is how It is known that
on ' HE_pentagons_1mb ' can lead to freezing - after all
by setting the 5th bit the 7ffd port is disabled.

If the user doesn’t like something, he can write
the driver himself, it’s not difficult - RTFM!

------------------------------------------
Since the program is already ready (tonight (12.06) I’ll upload
to the echo) - it’s too late to do anything redo.
------------------------------------------

Test, report bugs if anythere will be.
Read F.A.Q. in the built-in help - this will help to avoid
misunderstandings.

Good luck!
...
