BASIC "Start" parameter

From Valerij Kozhevnikoff → To All 5 December 2002
The LIST command displays file parameters in trdos. The start and length of basics
are usually the same, but sometimes they differ. I forgot why...
It seems like it has something to do with the use of variables? And the more of them
used, the greater the difference? And how is this difference calculated?

It is calculated automatically, at the end of the file :) the more variables, the greater
the length. This could also be a form of weak protection of BASIC files, or simply
someone may want to insert some information after the BASIC operators,
in short, whoever gets around it. I myself used to do random things too ;)
in general, it was a long time ago, and I can’t fully vouch for the accuracy of the above ^_~
