I told the author of the subject about this Plastic. 20-30% is too much.
8-12% is real (on the Spectrum)

Well, it’s spelled RIP (Real Information Packer). Packs 30 kilobyte codes 1-1.2
kilobytes better, 40 kilobyte texts - 2 kilobytes better. It may be possible to
increase the compression ratio a little more.

Listen, aren't you the one writing ACEdit? I noticed something glitch there: You turn on
Edit - Russian/Latin in the setup and then switch the layout like this: With the Caps
Shift button pressed, press Edit, then release Edit and then Caps Shift. Everything is hanging up. Absolutely. And it wouldn’t hurt to record the setup.

On Saturday, April 21, 2001, I saw a brawl:
Aleksey Malov and Dima Bystrov were beating each other.
The reason for this was the topic “Re: Packer”.
Here is my opinion on this matter:

That's for sure...

And there's also this glitch: when the line when typing completely fits (all words are separated
by one space), the cursor jumps not to the left field, but to the very beginning
of the line, and you have to manually move it to the right.

And the line formatting is very smart: when you need to type some kind of fractional parameter
(like '1.5 mA'), then it thinks that this is a normal one text and inserts spaces:
'1.5 mA'

It would also be nice to leave only
one space after such a parameter when formatting (as the editor does when it sees a dash ('.._-_..'). Naturally,
only when there is no period.
And it would not hurt to correct the hyphenation rules :)

In general, with 80 characters in a line, ACEdit - rulez!
