With such a slow screen, working in this editor looked nothing less than masochism
and all the professionalism lay in the ability to expect the text to be redrawn
without swearing. A simple adapter like CGA would have solved this problem once and for all - but then, for some reason, no one had the time to do so, everyone was intensively expanding the ZX brake video adapter without thinking about the consequences. First they did it and then
they tried to apply it... but it didn’t work IMHO.

Not true. A very good editor, there is no sluggishness when redrawing text
and never has been. You are confused with some other editor not in the SR/M OS.
The editor is no worse than "Lexicon 1.4" on the computer. I very often
use the editor "WRITE SYSTEM 3.0", especially when drawing diagrams in pseudographics and from it I print on dot matrix and inkjet printers.
This editor is in second place after IS-DOS EDIT OS. "WRITE SYSTEM" has three
disadvantages:
1. Memory is limited to only 41 kb.
2. When formatting, it does not break up words when transferred, transferring only whole
words.
3. Cannot select blocks in the form of a rectangle.
