OnLine#79. For Pentagon:
============== here we will start the file "OnLine79.C" ================

Additional graphic mode - 512x192
The proposed mode allows you to place on the screen 512 dots
in a line or 85 characters with a 6x8 matrix, which will allow you to place a significantly larger amount of information and make it more convenient to work with text, monochrome graphics, terminal
programs.
the moderation of elements on the diagram is given relative to the diagram pentagon-
on (by V.M.G.) and may not coincide with your scheme.

(output >──) give a signal from the output of the forming device microcircuit
(output <──) apply a new signal to the output, cutting off the old one
The SEL signal is an inverted signal from pin 10 of ID7
(see the modem connection diagram in Online'78). Also on top of
D38 it is necessary to solder D38' (1533Р23) with all outputs connected to D38, and connect the inputs to the corresponding outputs of D37. and the 1st pins D38 and D38' are supplied with signals C3 and 2-D3, and the 11th
pins are supplied with signals C29 and C3, respectively. Also, it is necessary to supply ground to pins
9,12,15,16,19 of the D40 microcircuit through 1K resistors.
The modification is turned on by setting bit 1 of port #EFF7 and
is turned off by RESET or by resetting the same bit. After switching on, two areas are formed in memory - #4000-#57FF - even bytes on the screen, and #6000-#77FF - odd bytes on the screen. The second screen
is addressed similarly (#C000-#C800 and #E000-#E800).

Все обозначения микросхем даны для
Зеленой платы скорпиона.Для желтой можно
попробовать взят схему зеленого скорпа,в принципе
они должны быть похожи(касается только турбо плат)
До косой черты указан номер микросхемы,
after - the pin number.
and the listed pins of the microcircuits
need to be disconnected from the board or
cut the tracks so that only these pins and
only these chips are disconnected!

The extended mode is enabled by setting
the 1st bit (counting from 0) of the port #EFF7.
In extended mode, the screen color is determined by the border color, and the color of the set dots is 0 or 7 depending on the
2nd bit of the border color (counting from 0).
If the border color is within 0..3
then the color of the set dots will be white,
otherwise it will be black.
Half of the image is at
address #C000 and takes up #1800 bytes.
The other half is at address
#E000. The image can be in the 5th
or 7th banks depending on the
3rd bit of port #7FFD. The symbols on
the screen alternate - one in one
half, and the other in the next.
If individual
pixel rows (vertically) disappear on the screen, then try
soldering a capacitor to the 15th leg of D39
with a capacity of somewhere up to 750 picofarads (or more,
I had to set it to 750 peak.....)
Unfortunately this modeso far
only Melon_1.7 is used.
It seems that there was something similar in PROFI,
maybe someone knows?
The description for Melon said something
about colors - IMHO with 3.5 MHz memory
impossible.
I also tested several
Z80 processors and this is what happened:
Z80B(Z8400B) Worked at a frequency of up to 8 Mhz
Z80 (Z0840004) worked even at 12 Mhz (until it warmed up)
and at 7 Mhz it worked without problems....
Z80 (Z84C0010PEC) worked even at 14 Mhz (at 12 Mhz it works without problems..... how however, at 14...
Z80 (Z084006) worked at 12 Mhz without problems...
well, that seems to be all the processors that I had in stock.
although there is another processor: Z84C0020 - according to the passport it works up to 20 Mhz..
but it was not possible to check it due to the lack of a square socket for the PLCC
case.
There is also information on the DMA controller Z8410/Z84C10
it would be nice to connect it to the spec... the maximum frequency
of operation according to the passport is 8 Mhz, If anyone is interested
I can provide all the available information on this
controller....
Send questions and suggestions to Origin...
and this is what I am asking you for...
