Segments. The file is divided into blocks of (for example) 256 bytes and the text
is accessed through them. Each segment is described by its location in
memory and length. Three bytes per segment is enough. Very fast. The only
brake is recording to the device. With a text size of 636k (sic!), descriptors

How can you use a program that can at any moment
go down with colored squares?

For blind ZX fans - even the offtopic i80486 after receiving NMI
blocks it inside the processor until the IRET command is executed! But the Z80
doesn’t do this - it needs a hardware gadget.

But the editor is a specific thing, you can’t do it in addition to

There are plenty of editors for the normal screen, even if there will be for the extended mode.
Moreover, a similar mode is available on several models yes.

This cannot be taken into account in the program, and skipping of STEP pulses does happen, but
is revealed when reading the track number - you can correct it immediately, or you can
drive it to track 0. If you use standard formats, then driving
the heads to track 0 is only necessary if it falls outside 80 tracks or

Sometimes - once a week, sometimes - once a minute.

KF> You have a scorpio - I saw that it means that the chest of a little girl also doesn’t move in 8 seconds, but much faster.

Either it’s MOA, or else it’s an iron-clad sequence of actions to exit from

I don’t want to swear in the echo with bad words, but how many times have you already written this

, the maximum is 85 - RTFM itself. The head will reach the 80th track in
80*(3ms)=160ms, where did you get 9 seconds, I don’t know, probably the clock is faulty

Standard of what? Memory? So, I don’t need more than 128Kb. Connecting a

If the track is unformatted, or all address marks are bits - 6 indexes. IMHO,

ET> and the most important question: wild ones came to .img, how to deploy this???

For example, like this: Dickie.img lies on “D”, and there is a utility image.com.
Make an image D:Dickie.img /-A, it will expand this image to disk "A".
Then, whatever you think of (this disk turns out to be in some strange format). Here
there was a utility for processing such disks. Personally, I did it simply, but
labor-intensively - I copied everything to a normal disk with a program copy.com. :)

There can’t be a node on the spectrum.

In ZMH he can’t answer calls without Dickie. And if he can’t, then
he can’t be a node either.

Well, this, to put it mildly, is not entirely true. There is such a thing as PVT Nodes.

KF> In ZMH he can’t answer calls without Dickie.
That’s for sure.

KF> And if he can’t, then he can’t be a node either.
And this is debatable.

Already holding it. On Vikommah. And a node is for membership in Fido, with voting rights.
Nowhere does it say that a node needs points.

I would be glad to chip in, but finances are also tight, I have
to act in a slightly strange way, first I go to the Crimea to my Father in the city of Belogorsk,
I ruin him there, and with peace of mind I go to Sevastopol.

Let’s, by the way, find out who is going to SSG, don’t write to Yahoo, but straight away to me, I’ll calculate it, and then I’ll throw the result into Yahoo. ;)

Fri 25 Jun 1999 you wrote here:

TK> How can you keep Vicomm and Hayes on the machine at the same time?

Keeping both Vicomm and Hayes on the same computer is not a problem.
The problem is the lack of software. The wild ones are in IS-DOS, AToss and Lara are in TR-DOS, and the
vicomm BBS too... It sucks.
You need a tosser and a vicomm soaper or a BBS in is-DOS. Or a soaper for chaos in
TR-DOS.

And it’s better to remake everything for NeOS...
