If you would have thrown the scrolling source, you might have thought ;)

Are you by any chance a demomaker? If yes, then your statement can be understood. Otherwise...
You can understand that it is IMPORTANT for the system THAT IT TAKES AS LESS
SPACE AS POSSIBLE!!! So that the user has more of this space for drivers.
It looks like you and I will never come to an agreement.
Bye, Kirill! With the best wishes, Megus of Brainwave.

this is a weak excuse for using a stack.
A much more compelling argument: if you use the stack (no matter where, even in the most tattered screen-clearing utility, etc.), then you can forever forget about interruptions, which are the heart of the system. Interruptions from the screw, modem, timers, etc. can come at any time, remaining unprocessed.
And if they also use NMI... goodbye, system! ;)
With the best, Denis Dmitriev.

Andrey Isaev has already decided to start optimizing. Let him pick and choose. Then maybe I’ll upload an optimized version of it. Can anyone come up with something else?
Bye, Alexander! With the best wishes, Megus of Brainwave.

Not seeing a moderator nearby, I decided to insert a word:

You can combine the stack with interrupts! But not always of course... :-(

you know, I am inclined to think that it always does (in reasonable cases,
that is, where they persistently suck something with a stack in open loops in order to
increase performance).
come up with a case where it’s low - I’ll be interested.
All the best.
Dmitry.
