What difference does it make to you?!! In most "serial" computers, it is possible to work from the RAM page inserted with #0000. Why don't you like this? After all
there is no need to reflash! Is this really not possible in Sprinter???
And that’s precisely why I like the subject, because it works with #0000!

You couldn’t convince that the “other option” is better.

Imagery of expressions, in itself, is not an argument.

RM> Well, for fans - quick reloading from ROM... But in memory!
In NeOS, for fans of "downloadable online" there is such an opportunity.
And there is no need to take away the address space from the processor.
All the best.
Yours Roman.

The system is doomed :) by flashing it. There will be no difficulties when working from the page
if, of course, the tower is in place...

:) but you never know what’s possible there!

It doesn’t work yet. And, as far as I can see, it’s unlikely to happen.
And, in general, why is it needed? Me, for example? There will never be such a sea of software under neos (for me, first of all, system software) that I will completely switch to it. If I'm going to write new software, it will be easier
and more convenient to do it on the system for which it will be released.
It's not for nothing that Frolov suggests SR/M. Compared to neos - a big step
back (I mean, forward :))...

Yes, the software there is only assemblers, linkers, debuggers, disassemblers,
Hitech-C, Turbo-Pascal, a bunch of masday editors and a powerful program
POWER.COM ;-)
But you can write there programs! There is ~60kb TPA and although it is ancient, there is
a normal OS! Text screen!
But the most important thing is almost 60kb of _continuous_ memory.

Initially, HEOS was supposed to be only a BIOS. And then they made it into
a half-shaft that was not bugged (not to be confused with OS/2!).
RM> What software asks for all the memory? and there is no way to unload it?
RM> I wouldn’t believe it :) This is just a publicity stunt :)
If you need memory, it will saveonly CP/M or Z180 !

So. "I don't need a fast OS. I have a lot of megahertz." Yes?
After all, placing it in ROM or cache will allow you to get 200% speed in the turbo. This is
significantly higher than in RAM. Why not give the opportunity to use this, who
is not too lazy? And, by the way, it is very easy to turbocharge a computer _only_in_ROM_ (in some
cars especially), the problem usually starts in RAM. With a subject, this can very
increase the overall speed without really straining.
RM> And, in general, why is it needed? Me, for example? It will never be under neos
Well, here it is. :-/
When they just started getting into FIDO from Speck they said: we need an AXIS! Without her
no way! is-dos Mazda! let's not make fidosh software!
And now, when a real alternative to is-dos appears, “Why?” - Cool.
Although if there is a PC, then really, why?

These are the 2 main disadvantages of CP/M.

CP/M can not be used on all machines, and NeOS cannot be used on all.

Not ROM attraction... And not attraction at all...

Why was it not bugged? Have you ever answered me _specifically_ what you don't like about NeOS? But that’s all it turns out: NeOS is worse. How? Than CP/M...

You can’t run programs from under CP/M.
There are no programs for it at all and there never will be.
It’s a pity for the ROM, I want 128 BASIC.
The screen is very small - in cp/m I’ll make it the way I want.
Work with files is done through that place, about which cannot be written here
. Here's how you can create a network drive in NEOS?
There is not enough continuous memory - a maximum of about 40kb. There is no need for a jar.
There are no such files stdin, stdout, stderr, you cannot redirect input-output.
Everything with the disk is done at the tr-dos level. I just don’t understand why
direct access to the disk is needed (no big deal! If you multitask, everything will go wrong!). And there are no normal file access functions, even at the is-dos or ms-dos level. CP/M is also bad, but much better. I don’t need to talk about the disk format here
- in cp/m it’s high time to rewrite bdos to work with ms-dos disks
and deny access to the BIOS for the hell of a reason.

You should read the doc at least once, for the sake of decency, so that you know what you're talking about - there
it's enough to write a device driver...
If you're so smart, suggest another cool method that would work on
_all_ Spectrums...
