Why is there no stdin and stdout in the subject?
And I/O operations from the command line cannot be redirected.
But at least this can be done with an external program?
This is not bullshit, but I can’t write a memmap to a file and on a printer
print. :~-(

And in the subject there is no way to look at the directory of another disk unless
you change the current disk. This is probably a glitch?
And the scroller that dir displays does not take into account the number of lines on
the screen before MORE Y/N - it certainly counts them, but not by the actual
number of lines on the screen, but by the number of line breaks. But
the window is narrow and the lines are transferred to the next one. :-(
And RUN doesn’t work, probably because it’s a demo version.
And why isn’t the executable .com?
You won’t want to spend ROM on the subject, that’s for sure.

+ why is there no support for 512x192 resolution? and in general IMHO it is necessary to release work with the screen
in the driver so that Sprinter and GaMaK can work.
good luck.

Yes, I read the docs a little today... I got to the graphical functions and realized -
people don’t understand or don’t want to understand that there are more other
video modes on some models...
It seems that subj is even more of a motherfucker than I thought...
Yours sincerely,

VP> don’t do that, the project is good, but there are things that need to be improved. I'm ready

There are things that need to be redone, there are things that need to be thrown out
completely (graphical functions, for example, they need to be put into the screen drivers),
there are things that need to be inserted...
But since the authors want to stick to their cars - the flag is in their hands.
I would rename the subject to 'izdos-2' (back in the cage)'
Sincerely,
Renat

there is a business proposal. make an Open Source project. Thus, we kill
all the birds with one stone from the AKS. then everyone will be able to help the project instead of
driving it into the ground to depths of up to 6 feet.

Apparently, I'll have to obey the opinion of the majority - I'll have to use it,
nevertheless, I will shout at all corners about its madness :)
All this is provided that it comes out at all. And when it comes out, you’ll be tortured
reflashing... (it wasn’t built right away :))

look at most open source projects. There is a work coordinator who
monitors progress. whose opinion can be changed by a majority. that is, let's say Ivan made support for Sprinter - the coordinator added it to the distribution, Bob made support for multitasking, brought it to the development version, and began testing it. debugged and put into distribution. and so on. What
is it unclear? The main thing is to start with a stable version, submit all the additions of your comrades to development, and release stable versions once a month/week (or if possible). This is how progress will go and go.

VP> if you take this seriously, you can also install a cache (it seems like that’s what he’s doing

I should have abandoned the alteration right away. Downloadable online.
Well, for fans - quick reloading from ROM... But in memory!

VP> at first, then all efforts will be spent on creating modules and supporting all sorts of

I’m ashamed to admit, but I was also thinking about creating an operating system. But, on reflection, I came to the conclusion that it was useless... Will all the crowds of programmers rush to support it at once? Nonsense.
The majority will sit and watch the attempts of the authors and a handful of enthusiasts
to raise the system. And the situation now is such that the soul in this project
(as in the others) is a little warm... There are few people, but a lot of software is needed...
Sincerely,
Renat

Or maybe start making Linux for the Spectrum?
