NEED: Alfa tester(s)

ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»

Immediately click on RESET, All !

You need a subject(s) with a Pentagon-type spectrum, a brain volume of 512kb,
must have a cache of at least 16kb (and preferably no more
16kb too) and must have a MAGIC-2 button that connects
the cache and generates NMI.

I wrote a simple program like MAGOS on Scorpio, it needs to be tested
and finished... Allows you to have 4 programs in your brain and switch
between them.

In the future you can provide:

√ uploading images to RamDisk.
√ and to a regular disk.
√ launching STS.
√ something else.

Now there are two problems - it is undesirable to press Magic-2 with the 128 BASIC ROM connected
and with the TR-DOS ROM connected, it will be fixed in the future.

Subjects, write - I will echo this thing in its terrible form if the moderator
will allow. Well, if he doesn’t allow it, then he’s an enemy of the Spectrum and a bad
emulator.

In general, I don’t understand, the cache was connected a long time ago, and no one can do an analogue of the Magos on Scorpio
, or no one needs it, or I didn’t understand something?
Well, I want it to be brought to mind, but I’m unlikely to do it.

Well, in the end, a final question - can someone tell me how the LD A, R command works? It first increments R once and sends it to A,
and then increments R a second time or immediately increments R 2 times, and then
itforwards to A ? This is the question that I have been struggling with for the whole
day
and to no avail. There is no answer to this question in the Spectrum literature and the Minsk book; I also don’t know how to establish it experimentally... :-(
Help meee!!!

Great, Kirill!

One day, Kirill Frolov was torturing the keyboard, about "NEED: Alfa-tester(s)" he wanted to tell me...

This command increments R 2 times, and then sends it to A.

Experimentally, you can easily find out with STS.

Don’t be rude, Kirill!

... Aren't you tired of starting the whole sentence with an "a", huh?

The stupidest advice. No one guarantees that STS shows
the real value of R, and not what it got in A using the command LD A,R.

You take any program with XOR protection using
the R register, and STS goes through this protection in a step-by-step mode.
If STS did not process this register correctly, then you would
never in life without perversions I would not be able to pass this protection.
And the breakpoint also processes this register R correctly.
The calculation is made based on what commands the processor
executed until R was again saved in a
certain memory cell (I don’t remember the exact address, it’s written in the help). Therefore, while passing the protection, you can run execution in real time at least a hundred
times with a breakpoint, continue execution in step-by-step mode, and any
_non-disk_ protection will be passed correctly.

Tested by many years of experience - the STS register R processes
_100% correctly_.

Sincerely, Sasha.

KF>> which you can find out...

AP> XOR A
AP> LD R,A
AP> LD A,R

AP> The result will be the number #02.

The result will be 4 !

But this doesn’t say anything...

After all, like the LD R, A command, it can transfer data between registers _to_
increment, so the command LD A, R can also do this before the increment. Even
most likely this is the case.
The operation of these commands cannot be determined by ANY PROGRAM, the only
way is to remove the contents of R from the bus at the time of regeneration... That's why
I ask, otherwise I would ask stupid questions? I don't need the Internet, I don't need WWW.

I gave you the reason above. Just as LD A, R has an offset of 1, so does LD R, A too. The program cannot determine this in any way; purely conditionally, one can
assume that the increase occurs before the registers are overloaded.

Quite possible. After the MOA shadow you won't believe anything so immediately
...

oh, in addition to tracing, you can simply set a breakpoint and
execute the program, besides, if STS incorrectly processed
the command ld a,r you would not be able to trace xorks using r,
you've apparently never done hacking.

Bye!

You've been involved in the MOA shadow community. Just kidding - everything is being traced
with a bang, but the R register is incorrect. MOA has one thing on the screen, another in the register
, and after leaving the shadow h.z. What. Therefore, you cannot leave the shadow market
and you cannot set breakpoints either.
