MS-DOS->TR-DOS: what do you recommend?
ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»
From Alexandr Kushnikov → To All 9 December 2000
There are images of floppy disks (.trd) on MS disks 720k. How can they be distilled into TR-DOS? And
it’s the same with .scl . On the real Spectrum.
In the newspaper PILOT 39 was recommended through CONVERTER UTILITY v2.1. If anyone has
this, please share it.
With respect, Alexander Kushnikov aka Sander.

And then I burst in
AK> In the newspaper PILOT 39 they recommended using CONVERTER UTILITY
I will format a maximum of 2 tr-disks, Dig one file from MS-DOS, and then from
the first tr-disk to the second, open the image via EXTECTOR (application to
INFERNO1)
With best wishes, Max Shashkin aka Shaitan/Stars of Keladan.

I use IS-DOS for these purposes
To open SCL under TR-DOS there is an SCL converter (SCL_01)
Sincerely, Sergey Karachentsev.

AK> Yes, if there are less than 255 sectors, then it’s suitable.
Well, yes, of course. I once had half a disk of scl. And nothing converted.
Best regards, Oleg. [ZX]

AK> What if there are more than 255 sectors? In IS-DOS it will work, but then it won’t.
Before uploading large files to disk, I cut them into pieces with the program
spliter.com (12/19/99) with the key /255

I wonder what it was? The image of the program? And what has all this turned into?

it’s like this by default chops. I mean, you don't need a key. the source got lost
or what? it was written there...
