Here, I’m throwing in a new copier TR-DOS<->MS-DOS. Understands three-letter extensions,
the memory of Scorpio and Pentagon 512, can glue and cut files when
copying.

Please report any glitches.

I completely forgot: could someone share the format of the Hobets header - how is the
checksum calculated - the author of the copier promised to put a piece of paper into the
copier.

EP> And how can you change the drive?
Place the cursor on the line “TR-DOS(MS-DOS) drv”, play around with Enter, select
the desired panel and press EXT.MODE.
The author would have to tell him what to do with hot buttons.
What other inconveniences are there?
Regards, Vladimir.

there are options for installing MS and TR DOS disks.

Soon I’ll probably erase the subject so that it doesn’t take up space... Well, why does it get on
drive A when I load it from D ?! And I have a 5.25" drive A, and there are almost no floppy disks for it. Well, the subject is waiting for an MSDOS disk in it, where can I now get MSDOS
on 5.25? And while there is no disk there, the drive cannot be changed...

If this is a program that has 34 sectors, then
press the left-right arrow, the cursor will move to the
menu on the left, and there you can select TRDOS disk and
MSDOS disk. re-read the catalog - CS+SS.
(imho, a strange question: there is a help down there)

But IMHO this is necessary. For example, to be able, if a file has already been erased,
to restore it if another program has not taken its place.
And you also need to enter an additional line of information about the MS-DOS disk - the amount
of free space in the sectors...
Always yours, LEO/SG.

Doesn’t the author know how to identify the drive from which it booted?
From Denis Dmitriev → To All 1 December 1998
LM> This should be done...
Yeah.
By the way, who is not fully aware of this standard.
A group of files in trdos is considered one solid file of increased capacity if
on the disk there is the following arrangement of file parts:
file.cod
file.0od
file.1od
etc. in ascending order of the code of the first extension character.
And now ATTENTION!
These parts of the file MAY be located on the disk more than one after another (that is, there may be other files between
them), and they can be located on the disk in any
order (even backwards)!!!
In this case, the length of any piece can easily not be a multiple of the disk sector!
That's how it is.
all this was assumed even with the release of Melon 1.7, but many programs have simplified
this standard in order to avoid unnecessary difficulties (which as a result appear
users :)
With the best, Denis Dmitriev.

there will be an unloading of the setup, perhaps there will be an external driver for the upper memory.
It seems that no one needs a hobta in copier - it won’t mean it.

With trdos drives C and D you need to do #3D13! For screws and all kinds of ramdisks. And

The most terrible inconvenience is the pipe driver. And I have a screw.
And not only me. And almost every second person now has a ramdisk.
I only have one disk drive, and it is B. A subject needs A.
Suggestions are:
1. Always access msdos disks directly, regardless of their letter.
2. Access to trdos drives A and B directly, and access to C and D through #3D13.
Perhaps only sysops have real drives C and D, so owners of
screws/ramdisks will thank you very much.
ps\ As for the sorts, I’d like to see.

Yes, the copier is good, but the only thing I didn’t like
is that when there are long files, it doesn’t separate them according to
the principle of “only the extension changes,” but it also changes the name
to be honest, I still don’t understand why

Is it possible to make #3d13 for trdos disks there? This is necessary for the screw.

Q: What kind of files are with the extension *.$b, *.$c?
A: Hobet file. That is, a file copied by the hobeta program from a tr-disk floppy disk. The letter most often denotes belonging to some type. (.$w - text in Sinclair's ZX-Word format,
.$s - picture for a screen printer...) The extension can, in principle, be
anything. It depends on the authors of the program that uses these files.
A: (Michael Kondratyev 2:5030/362.1) Its (hobet file) structure:
The first 13 bytes are an exact copy of the hard header. Next are two bytes of length
in sectors; because it is a multiple of 256, then the first is always zero, and the second is
the number of sectors. And the last two bytes are the checksum. It is calculated
simply - all the previous 15 bytes are summed up, the number is multiplied by
257 and the sum_of_numbers_from_0_to_14 is added, i.e. 105.
During the procedure on the Z80 Asm:
; to input de = header address
ld hl,0
ld b,15
m1: ld a,(de)
add a,l
ld l,a
jr nc,m2
