Hello All!
Due to problems with the node in the soap, the answer is not to me but to the author of the original letter!!!

Khayushki, All !

People who connected the sub to Specky??? Any information is needed. Please :)

I get the following picture: because. I have Baltic, so there are no problems with frame
sync, but there are some problems with horizontal synchronization, it turns out that this
enemy monitor considers the length of the sync pulse to be too long :( or something like that.
Visually it looks like like this:

┌──────────────────── ──────────────────┬
│5.13 TR-DOS ver:│
│ │
│ │
│" a:RUN "boot│
...
that is, the beginning of the line is somewhere on the right, and the end comes out to the left :(

the left and right borders of the border are not visible at all, the border is visible only
top and bottom.
I tried to run the line through the inverter, to no avail :'-(

help plz.

Bye...
See you again, Speccyfan.

p.s. analogue monique, though svga ;)

We repeat the well-worn theme - the TV has a horizontal frequency of about 15 KHz, and the
SVGA monitor has a horizontal frequency of about 31 KHz. This is exactly why the half-screen appears.
This is also the eternal problem of all Ami-zhniks - SVGA does not know how to display PAL :)
And even if it can, then you won’t be able to find such a monitor even during the day with fire (we’ll turn it on at night) ;) Although you can go to the capital and buy the so-called MICROVITEC with DMS from the CONDOR company - this one understands all scans.
And since SPECTRUM is a PAL machine - this applies to it too.
There is a solution to reduce the frame rate by half, but then you need to climb
into the monitor with a hot blunt object ;) There are also solutions from Amiga
such as SYNCDOUBLER, SCANDOUBLER, FLIKERFIXER - but they are relatively expensive.

is this really a line? Could it meander? Then you need to break the circuit with the air conditioner
and put a 1-10k resistor on the monitor side at +5V. If that doesn’t help,
that means breaking the circuit resistor, ohm at 300 and after that the air conditioner to ground.
Perhaps... ratings of the air conditioners - well, you can try up to 0.01 uF :) peak at 100,
probably...

AV> p.s. monique analogue, though svga ;)
well, they attached it without any problems, except that the bright for black had to
be artificially cut out :)

Which monitor? CGA, hercules, EGA, VGA ?

If you have VGA (the image is truncated horizontally by 2 times?) then
you desperately need RTFM -- frame frequency in (S)VGA d.b. 31.5Khz!

AV> p.s. analogue, but svga ;)

AAAA!!! Or an EGA monitor.

How many kilobucks does it cost?

And everything on the screen will be square, like in the emulator.

OC> Well, here you are wrong. Have you ever seen how these pieces of iron work?

No. But explain how you can double the line frequency without doubling the number
of lines?
Store an entire frame in memory? It’s possible, of course, but on SVGA monitors <600
lines
looks really bad. Or is there hardware blur?

From Oleg V.Chernousov To All 7 October 2001

Only FLIKERFIXER remembers the frame in the buffer, that’s why it costs about $100
SYNCDOUBLER stupidly repeats each line, so it will probably show
a ZX screen with square pixels; SCANDOUBLER does it much neater,
the picture is much more acceptable, but it also costs a lot of money%)
And about SVGA... A year ago I had an epic (opupee) with converting an EGA
monitor into an analog one. We assembled three simple video amplifiers - the signals from the monitor were sent directly to the pipe, and the synchronization was left as it was in the monitor. (This was assembled for the Amiga) As a result, all colors were like SVGA,
but problems of this kind - if the picture is light - the brightness of the screen increases exorbitantly, and vice versa, the picture is dark - the brightness tends to zero.
I did not know how to automatically adjust the brightness, and used
another PAL monitor. And this diagram is still lying around in the closet.

That's it. If you need a diagram, I’ll publish it %)

So how does Scandabler work?

Interesting glitch.

If you can’t look at the diagram on the spec, then give it on the Internet somewhere, otherwise
it’s better here.
