How does Milyn feel about the Com port on the subject. The modem is connected using the Kondratiev scheme.

KS> How milyn treats the Com port on the subject. The modem is connected according to the diagram
And "milun", is it me - E. Milun? Then I don’t relate at all, the com-port is on its own, and I’m on my own. Or is it my terminal? Then she just
uses it... :))
But seriously, I somehow didn’t understand your question. Have you stumbled upon a modem with PnP? Then, nothing can be done here. It is not known why, but
these modems stop generating interrupts after re-initializing the com port. And in general, either they have a somewhat strange IRQ signal, or they just have a weak data bus, but even in Melon (not to mention the S-Terminal)
they often produce all sorts of garbage instead of meaningful information.
Good luck! Evgeny.

Because it’s a program, and I made a mistake in writing the name (as many as 2), because
it’s similar in spelling. but in fact - Melon.

Of course you can.

And I have a modem with PnP, but in Melon everything is OK, it doesn’t use NMI in general.
Well, S-Terminal freezes, sometimes it doesn’t - but if you press something, it will appear on the screen
after 0.5-2.0 seconds, and when you change the port speed, it freezes
completely :( Although in Melon it’s normal... Kondratieff scheme...

That’s why I asked. I already said once - some of us call my S-Terminal as “milun”, precisely because of its consonance with Melon. :))

KS> Where in Melon is the Com port set for a modem connected using the Kondratiev

Nowhere. Set the modem to Com1. Or Com2 - but then switch a few wires on the
connector.
From Kirill Chubenko → To All 1 November 1998
It is assumed: if the modem is plugged into a Kondratiev circuit, it is set to
com1 irq4.; The modem is not PnP, the best is USR 93/94.
Happy, Konstantin. It was nice talking.

KS> I can imagine.
It depends on how you have the connection diagram. modem is set. For example, when the modem was connected to the MK circuit, and it supports com1, I had a problem with
installing a com port on the modem itself, i.e. There was no dock and I selected the port, and
I only selected com2. I had to change the port address in the scheme and transfer irq, in
in accordance with the writing standard.

I have USR with PnP too. In Melon everything is OK too,
though I didn’t really use it, but I tried to connect. If I lock the
port
to 38400 - it hangs, the author warned. ZXNews-15, it seems) didn’t
work with it at all until I shortened the IRQ with a capacitance. Maybe you could try to reduce it further?

Personally, I don’t. :) Everything works for me anyway. But someone else, it seems, tried, and, it seems, the garbage became in order, but with interruptions - no.
But, I can’t say for sure.

There is a problem here, the fact is that the modem only installs on COM4 IRQ3 or 4

EP> Well, this is for those who have a subject in SMUC
Yeah, everything would be fine, but my modem started working in SMUC only when
I set COM2 on the modem, and in Melon it’s also COM2, but it doesn’t
react at all to com1. It is possible that my modem is buggy, although in the normal mode it responds normally to
som1.

Then you need to redo the circuit a little. I don't know how to supposedly bridge a few wires. Perhaps someone present here will
tell you.

For the Kondratiev scheme, you need to set COM1 and IRQ4 on the modem.
Good luck.

the irq signal, which comes from the 3rd leg LH1 - to B25 (was on B24)

RM> For the Kondratieff circuit, you need to install COM1 and IRQ4 on the modem.
Why bother with coms and irqs? Here I have irq_5.
And that’s not the point - it’s easier to transfer the wires on an adapter
(Kondratieff circuit) than to think about which com or irq.
