Introduction.

Millennium Demoparty is already the fourth annual computer festival, which is held in Minsk by the Psycho group. Every time we gain experience in order to improve the organization of the event and conduct it at the highest possible level. In addition to competitions, a rich, carefully prepared program awaits you,
including showing the best demos, original competitions, surprises, etc.

Platforms: PC, Amiga and ZX Spectrum. If you are a fan of another platform and want to present it at the party, please contact the organizers! Also, if you have original ideas or a desire to help with the organization - you're welcome! We will be happy
to give you the opportunity to bring something new and interesting to the event.

Date, place, time. How to get there? Cost.

Date - September 20..21, 2003. Estimated time - from
11 to 18 hours (both days). A more exact time will be determined
later. The cost of visiting is 3..4 euro (for both days). For girls - discounts. The venue has not yet been finally determined.
It will be one of the Minsk clubs or cinemas. There are several
decent options; At the moment, the organizers are choosing the most suitable location for the event.

General rules.

The following are general rules of conduct, the observance of which
is required of ALL demoparty visitors. Please read them carefully!

* it is forbidden to bring weapons, piercing
objects, or other items that can cause injury to visitors
or damage equipment
* it is forbidden to litter
* it is forbidden to come or be at the party place in a
insane (alcohol-drug) state
* it is not advisable to bring food and drinks to the party
* smoking is only allowed in the designated areas.
* access to the organizers' equipment is possible ONLY with the permission and under the supervision of the organizers.

If the above rules are violated, the security service
or one of the organizers may apply to the violatornecessary measures of influence (using physical force :-)
If damage is caused knowingly or through negligence, the violator
is obliged to compensate for the damage. Otherwise, the unconscious offender will be taken to the nearest police station or forest (depending on the situation).

If you intend to visit demoparty, we strongly recommend that you fill out the registration form on the site. This will firstly
allow us to estimate the number of visitors, and secondly, it will allow
others to better imagine who will be present at the party.
Registration on the site reserves a ticket for you, but does not give you a discount. However, if you managed to show yourself in some way on the demoscene, then there is a high probability that you will be included in the list of invitees. Pos
- people must know their heroes! ;-)

* It is proposed to highlight compositions written using trackers of the new generation (ReNoise, Buzz, Psycle) into a
separate compo.
* It is proposed to carry out Realtime compo (handdrawn gfx,
coding).

Preselect and voting system.

All work will undergo preselection. Preselect does not aim to objectively assess the level of work. It solves the following
tasks:
1. Censorship - does not pass works that, for moral and ethical reasons, cannot be shown.
2. Technical control - does not allow works that, due to their characteristics or the characteristics of the equipment, cannot be
adequately reproduced.
3. Reducing the number of works - does not pass works that, in our subjective opinion think they have no chance of winning prizesplaces.
This does not necessarily mean that the works screened out according to this principle are objectively weaker than all those included in the competition.

The third point applies only in special cases.

The winners in each competition are determined by the results of voting of visitors. Voting system - so-called 1-2-3. That is,
everyone can choose up to 3 works and write down the numbers of these
works in descending order of their level in the form. The first one will receive 3 points, the second
- 2, the third - 1. The winning works will be those with the highest amount of points.

Authors of works that took 3 first places in each of the competitions
will receive certificates of honor and symbolic prizes: CDs, T-shirts andetc.
The winners of some competitions will receive valuable prizes. The size of the prize fund is not determined, because... depends on sponsors. We don't expect it to be big. However, in any case, it will be distributed primarily among the demo compo participants, and also, if possible, wild demo, intro, game, etc. Thus, we encourage the creation of a demo.

Attention!

* Works that take last place in their nomination are not
awarded, even if there is only one work in the nomination.
* If the author/representative of the work is not present on
partyplace, prizes will not be awarded or sent by mail. Foreign participants who are absent from the party will receive diplomas by mail.
