Lara 4.5
ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»
From Aleksey Malov → To All 5 October 2001
In general, the following problem.
I have in the subject 2 aka:
aka0=2:5052/30.8 ;Fidonet
aka1=500:8362/1.3 ;ZXNet
Recently a local echo has appeared, people can write to it both from fidosh
addresses and from ZXNet ones. It doesn’t gate in FIDO, so I asked the boss
to sign me up (subscribing to it only with the boss’s permission) to it from a ZXNet
(the boss of ZXNet, he organized the LAN) address so that the packets wouldn’t be gated
to FIDO. So the whole trouble is that when I answer in this echo to a person with
FIDOSH address, my fidosh address is substituted, and, as a result, the packet
goes to FIDonet and a question follows from the fidosh boss: “And what kind of echo is this?”
So, is it possible to somehow configure the subject so that when answering in the echo, the aka that is specified in is always
substituted setup for this echo (in my setup
for that echo, aka1 is indicated).
There is, of course, an option: keep two SetUp Lars: one for ZXNet, and the other for
Fido, but this is a perversion. I would like to solve this problem in a less messy way.
Bye, All.

B in those lines where mail areas are defined, write the letter "o" Latin
at the end.
It seemed to help, but it was a long time ago...
Or if it doesn’t help, there is an option: an external tool that looks at which
aria the
message is going to and accordingly patches from addresses and origin (and rebuilds all
pcts!).

here so:
areas
{
BLA.BLA 1
}
and so:
areas
{
BLA.BLA 1 o
}
and so:
areas
{
BLA.BLA o
}
doesn’t work
More precisely, in the first two cases, when writing in BLA.BLA, aka1 is substituted, and when
response - to the address suitable for aka0, aka0 is substituted (although it is necessary that
aka1 be substituted); when responding to an address suitable for aka1, aka1
is substituted (which is what I need).
In the third case, everything is not the same.

Perversion.
It would be better if someone patched Lara.
Bye, Kirill.

Maybe you should use the 'als' feature in the setup? I don’t have ak, I can’t
check.
I have everything. Bye, Aleksey!

And what about the third?
AM> It would be better if someone patched Lara.
As far as I understand, it is necessary that in specific echoes it always writes from
specific addresses without any amateur activity. IT WORKED SOMETHING THE SAME!
Exactly with the letter “O”. Maybe a big "O" is needed.

In short, apparently the phase of the moon was to blame, but now I did:
areas
{
bla.bla 1 o
}
and it worked. Although I tried to do this before and it didn’t work.
Maybe my hands are crooked.

Maybe the letter was just Russian, not Latin? :)
With best wishes, Dmitry.

There is a standard feature. In the setup you need to specify the aka number for the echo. And when
forming pkt you need to press not X, but C for aka1. For aka2,3 you need to press
V, B respectively.
Although I never needed this, it should work.
