┌────────────────────────────── ───────────────────────────┐
│ RULES OF E H O CONFERENCE REAL.SPECCY │
│ last edition date 06/16/99 │
└──────────────────────────────── ─────────────────────────┘

This echo conference was created for communication on the topic of the
ZX-Spectrum platform, mainly for people who have access to
Fido using real Spectrum-compatible computers (although, in principle, anyone who will
follow these rules can participate in the correspondence).

1. It is prohibited to mention other platforms (you can mention
them if it is related to the features of the software being discussed andhard); It is also prohibited to compare platforms with each other, as well as to criticize them [*].

1.1 Discussion of emulators is unacceptable, this is an echo for the
_real_ Spectrum [*].

2. Skirmishes between different modifications of Spectrum-compatible computers are extremely undesirable (please respect
the creators and users of all types of our warmly beloved
Specchi) [*].

3. Excessive quoting is punished (more than 70%) [*],
try to leave those phrases to which, in your opinion, you
are giving an answer or comment.

4. A little advertising is allowed, forward from other information that you think is interesting.

5. Files placed in echo conference, must only be
in UUE encoding and meet the standards of one of the following
categories:

a) standard Spectrum file in Hobeta format (*.$*);
b) text file in 866 GOST (alternative) encoding (*.txt);
c) ROM firmware files in binary code (*.bin);
d) disk images Shalaev emulator (*.trd);
e) raster graphic files (*.pcx, *.bmp, *.jpg).

Before posting, the above files must be packed with Spectrum ZIP (*.$z) or a similar archiver on PC (*.ZIP), the archive must contain a description of the contents in a text file (preferablyso that this file has the standard name file_id.diz,
descript.ion or read_me).

Please do not send files to the echo conference that
have in their names symbols that contradict the standards
of the operating systems IS-DOS, MS-DOS (.+,"=, etc.)

Placing files in UUE encoding larger than 20Kb,
_only_ with permission Moderator or Commoderator! [+]
The size is determined by the source file.

When posting files over 20Kb, at the beginning of the letter it is _required_
to indicate whose permission the posting is being made.
Request permission only in netmail.

The UUE section should not exceed 100-120 lines!

5.1 The "NeOS" project has been announced. "pilot" project of the echo conference, it follows that permission to post new versions and documentation, as well as software designed to work under NeOS, was issued by Roman Petrov AKA Megus/Brainwave^X-Project
(2:5052/7.37@fidonet). The permission includes unlimited UUE traffic without prior approval. moderator.
Coordinating the project and limiting the daily traffic of UUE
remains on the conscience of Roman Petrov.

5.1.1. Posting of UUE, authorized by the coordinator of the "NeOS" project, must be accompanied by a corresponding inscription in
the first lines of the posting message.

6. Personalcorrespondence is prohibited! [*]

7. Communication with the Moderator/Comoderator only in netmail,
send all complaints here. Unauthorized moderation
is punished [+].

8. Of course, I also read and write in this conference, so
letters only in the name of Moderator
or CoModerator are considered official.

9. “Hacker” conversations (about hacking programs, disrespect of copyright, etc.) are strictly prohibited [+]. Advertising hacked products or posting them in the echo entails a lifelong ban [!].

9.1 Disseminating information about all kinds of cheats is showing disrespect for the conference subscribers, so I will
punish you mercilessly! [*].

9.2 Distribution of solutions is also not welcome at all! [*] If they ask for help in completing any game,
answer with netmail, because for others it may be completely
nothing!

10. As in ZX.SPECTRUM - the use of
nicknames in the From/To field is not allowed (let's not start a kindergarten,
the “cool hackers” are already making a dazzle in the eyes). The exception is
Moderator/CoModerator :) .

CoModerator has every right to distribute stars and pluses,
beware :) .

Re-election of the Moderator is a malicious offtopic. As long as I'm alive, you will keep order for me here! :)

Language of communication -Russian, Ukrainian, English. Try not to complicate the lives of others, write more clearly, if possible competently, correct the mistakes of others correctly and, if possible, by netmail.

Otherwise - well, everything is described in the echopolis, what is not
prohibited is allowed.

The echo conference is available for gating to all networks
FTN-standard, gate sysops _must_ ensure the correct
content of the fields "From:","To:" in accordance with the standards
of the _FidoNet_ network.

Standard penalties:
[*] - warning;
[*] [*] [*] = [+] - transfer to Ridonli for a month;
[+] [+] [+] = [!] - disconnection from echo for a long time-
new deadline! :( .

Amnesty is provided only on very major holidays ;).

CoModerator of REAL.SPECCY - Roman Milukov (2:4616/29)

if sfx, then it’s probably possible, because They are not packaged with ZXZIP, especially since this falls under clause 5.a of the rules, because *.B is a standard Spec
file. ;) By the way, on an offtopic if there are stray things for unpacking hrip.

No, of course I I understand the rules are the rules, but will Khripov’s archive pass through
Fido unguarded or not?
And if it passes (and even if it doesn’t) why not include it as
allowed in the rules? In principle, this packer has become the main one for me personally.

With the best, Dima Boyko.

If you have fun - TrDos.
If you draw up documents - IsDos.
If you climb on the fidoshka - TrdDos because no one has deigned yet (and probably won’t deign) to write a soap editor for IsDos.
In general, this is a question as trivial as choosing
Windows or Unix on a computer.

With the best, Dima Boyko.

Are there any copyrights in the program itself? If only the converters
told us that they fixed some glitch...
