How does isunzr work in tr_dos?

ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»

From Andrij M. Stegnitskiy To All 17 August 1998

Hi all! I have this problem. I have an archiver with text
files, that is, with the txt extension. I want to unpack it using isunzr in
tr_dosе. When I convert the archive into tr_dos using a Word copier, I end up with about five or six files, I glue them together with Kovalevsky's conwer program, and I end up with a long file. I run subj and it gives me an error in the zip. At first I thought it was only in that archive, but I tried other archives and the same thing. Write how to use it correctly? I tried not to glue the files and
the effect was the same. Maybe it can't unpack text files, but only wants to? Well, I don’t know.
Write what anyone knows.
With respect, Andrey.

Gluing is not necessary.
As far as I know, this anzip was made “under” Dismaster
Melon and UUdecod0.000002. Those. understands files torn into pieces, but the names of the pieces must be the same, and the
extensions - .zip, .0ip, .1ip, etc.
Maybe your copier adds something of its own to the ends of the pieces?

Yes... There is no normal MS-DOS <-> TR-DOS copier. :(((

But, it seems, she doesn’t care what files are in the archive...

I forwarded your letter to the author, I’ll put the answer here as I'll get it.

AM> oh, I have a long file coming out. I run subj and it gives me an error in the zip. I'm having trouble like this - Word cuts files of 20 kilobytes (+/- bus
stop). Then you need to glue them together. But you need to glue
byte by byte!!! And the converter glues it into sectors, and also leaves the length
in bytes from the first file...

Drive it into isdos and unzip it there.

If my memory serves me correctly (I just wish I knew where and with whom she
cheats on me...), Honey Commander does this well. He understands CP/M.

How are long files cut there?

Is there a need for this? Otherwise, I have been trying for a long time to encourage
all available coders to write a normal copy program from/to MS-DOS.
Only recently have doubts begun to overcome whether anyone
except me needs this.
If not, then I won’t try, and if so, then “write letters, send beer.”

Hello! Dear Denis!

At 15:32, Wednesday August 19 1998 there was such a thing that
Denis Sotchenko scribbled a letter from Roman Milukov:

RM>> Yes... There is no normal MS-DOS <-> TR-DOS copier. :((((
DS> If my memory serves me correctly (I just want to know where and with whom she is cheating on me
DS>...), Honey Commander does it well. He understands CP/M.
And we also have a good copier in our city. He also understands Hobeta,
that is, he can convert from MS-DOS directly from Hobeta to MS-DOS to Hobeta.
It's a good thing, although I haven't had time to test it properly yet, but
the author praises ;-) I'll ask, maybe I can throw it here.
PS: Ask?

Yes, of course it is necessary!!!
Personally, it’s rare for me. But AXLR has a flopinette and brings disks with mail in MS-DOS home. And then he fucks with the ZX-Word copier - a lot of problems!
The main thing is that it’s a shame: there is a good MS-DOS<->MS-DOS copier on Spec, but
MS-DOS<->TR-DOS - no! :(

This monster in some versions requires flashing the TR-DOS ROM. Yes, and its
minus due to its huge size is not convenient when working with one drive at 128k
or not ATM. The buffer is small...

This is a good thing... Hobeta
refused to work for me under PC emulators, but it was a shame to write something like that myself :)

come on!

But here at least it’s simple, without hobeta...
Text files, ZIPs back and forth!..

Why are you asking?! Of course, ask!

I looked. It can only format using MS-DOS. Copy - no.

And there is a version tailored for 512K using #7FFD.
