I’ll tell you how all this happens for me.
My boss has a PC and I had two options:
1. Receive unpacked mail.
2. Receive packaged mail.

Option 1 was acceptable while my traffic was small. But soon (in principle, almost immediately), I had to ask my NODA to pack the mail.
Due to the virtual absence of programs on Specky that support RS-ish
archivers, my choice settled on the only one available to me (and probably to almost all Spectrumists) ZIP file decompressor. As everyone knows
there is such an unarchiver in IS-Dos, but I don’t like it a little (besides
you need to load IS-DOS all the time), and therefore I got the program
"IBM_UNZIP", which works with the TR-Dos disk, and allows you to perfectly
unzip files from a PC of any length (as long as your disk is enough), i.e.
files exceeding 255 sectors (>65536 bytes).
And I don’t archive my mail, because... There is no "IBM_ZIP" archiver. :-(
But this is not such a tragedy, because my mail does not weigh much, especially since it
will be packed by the BOSS.
But if I really needto pack a file intended for UUe conversion,
then I use the well-known “Zip.10s”.

On pc - pack with 16-bit pkzip, on zx - unpack with pzunzip, trdosny
or isdosny.

Pack with Zip in writing from about version 1.5
And unpack Pc-unzip Isaevsky... or on isdos (sax)

Packs in the Spekov zip format
Cuts itself in 255 seconds and produces the corresponding number of files
