Some conceptual changes in BIOS
ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»

Subj happened! From now on, the concept of a driver table has been completely eliminated. Now a chain system for organizing
drivers will be used. There will be 3 chains - resident drivers, ROM drivers and all other drivers. Therefore, drivers will now be called by directly accessing them. System variables can be placed in any memory area (preferably up to #c000), wherever it is convenient for you. The functions of locking/unlocking pages have been eliminated. Memory is now allocated per kilobyte.
The memory map (kilobyte) can also be stored in an arbitrary area
of memory. Well, is it convenient?
PS: All this is being done on the advice of Pasha Fedin - the honorary author of the BIOS idea.
With respect, Roman aka Megus of Brainwave Tracks.

How will this affect the speed?
All the best.
