ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»
From Oleg Golenkoff → To All 25 July 1999
People! I have my own question...
I bought a subzh today and I want to connect it to the Speck.
As far as I know, there are different connection options... so I'm interested
everyone, let me know if anyone has any info. I’ll say right away that I’m not Scorpio and
therefore I won’t give a smuk :(
By the way, other than in ISDOS you can still communicate with him? And how can I start with him
if I’m not Scorpio?
In short, everyone is interested!

I yelled and yelled like that... The result is that I connected via Nemo ports - only under
this standard there was some software suitable for working on any computer.
(Scorpio/KAI doesn’t count, everything is very specific there.)
What I have now:
Screw in is-dose.
Loads from a specific (which you define yourself, you can keep it in CMOS or
hardly define it in advance) place of the screw (is-dos itself does not have access there, but
there is a
utility that writes the system image there). Loads directly from MADROM. It's even very convenient. You can also start through the TR-DOS file if you are too lazy to flash the ROM.
There are utilities for writing an image of a TR-DOS floppy disk to a file and the reverse - an image onto a disk.
And there is a utility that dumps this image onto a TR-DOS ramdisk "D" (TR-DOS
5.13Fm). True, I only did it for 1M. But you can do this for 512K,
you just need to create TRD-sniki no more than 1536 blocks (a full floppy disk will not work).
But this is still not direct work with TRD-sniki from TR-DOS. :( So thatIt was really cool, I need to dig into the TR-DOS firmware. But there is no one. Andrey Isaev in the army. :(
All the best.
Sincerely Roman.

All this is cool :) of course, but I would like to take a look at all this software :)
