Hayes
ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»
From Alexey Ivanov → To All 23 July 1998
We need advice:
Here we started connecting internal Hayes to 14400 using the Kondratiev scheme.
The problem manifests itself like this: commands typed in the terminal appear on the screen with
a large delay, often distorted.
How to treat? Should I buffer the bus or do something with the signals?
I am using Melon 1.79

Well, this is quite already... I haven’t encountered this, usually with commands in the terminal
that’s it OK.

I do this: I reduce the resistors on the data bus to 3 kOhm, the wires are no more than 25
cm. I also connected the address lines used by the circuitry and the modem to
+5 through 4.7 kOhm resistors.
Although it’s better, I think, to buffer... I’ll figure it out somehow, anyway... :-)
All the best.
Roman.
