From Andrey Isaev → To All 11 June 1998
Hello, Dmitry!
12 Jun 98 Dmitry Pugachev was beeping in the hope that ALL would read about
Gigasound+Multisystem!!!, I read it and decided to answer:
DP> People are very kindly requested not to create standards in this
DP> direction.
And you yourself then what are you doing?
DP> Write something like how you would like to see it
DP> I’ll try to take into account all the comments.
Well, personally, I want it to be at least AWE’32 and with a bunch of software for it.
Sincerely, Andrey.

Good afternoon Andrey, if not, then turn on the light. :-)
Andrey Isaev, hammering away at the keyboard in the hope
that Dmitry Pugachev would see, hammered:
DP> People are kindly requested not to create standards in this
DP> direction.
AI> And what are you doing? Are you studying?
I consult with people.
From Andrey Isaev → To All 13 June 1998
DP> AWE'32 of course won't work, but it will be better than GenaralSound.
!!!??? :))))) Well, I know for a moment that you didn’t hold it (GS) in your hands, didn’t see it with your eyes, didn’t hear it with your ears, so why then yell that yours will be cooler? the maximum
that awaits your development is to take into account all those similar to it, i.e. Then you will collect it for yourself
and you will have a pile of useless stones standing on your computer, eating up excess current from your
poor power supply.
From Grigory Klimenko → To All 14 June 1998
Obachki, who am I seeing, it’s Dmitry!
12 Jun 98 over another bottle Dmitry Pugachev
said ALL that: DP> Good afternoon All, if not then
turn on the light.:-)
DP>
DP> At the moment subj is being developed and is in the development stage
DP> the final one.
DP> This will be cooler than General Sound.
From Roman Alexandrov → To All 14 June 1998
IMHO this is exactly what you are doing ;)

Have fun.

Ah! I know this... "...I'm AWE'32, the sound card is famous, just a little
beaten. I mean, I don't play. Can I sit on the edge?.." :)
Hasta la vista.

GK> Small in size, easy to connect, cheap, and whatever
GK> stood in my camp =)
I will soon throw in a description, a circuit diagram of this device and a couple of other games for it.
The cost of the Gigasound I assembled to order will be 100 rubles
plus postage.
But, however, with a little skill in working with a soldering iron, you can assemble it yourself, it will be much cheaper for you.
From Dmitry Lomov → To All 18 June 1998
Personally, I know how to make a card that will be much cooler
than the existing GS, but I don’t yet know how to do it for a real
price. the real price, IMHO, is no more than $30...$40.
at the moment, the compromise between price and quality is precisely
GENERAL SOUND. As soon as I figure out how to do it at a real
price, I will do it right away, much faster than everyone else, since
I have all the necessary production facilities and
the necessary experience gained in the development and production of
the existing GS variant.

Well, if you sent me a drawing of the board template, I would owe you my life =)
And even 100 rubles is just right for a spectroman, but that’s just 06/27/98 in
the army, and I don’t know who will hang iron on the OHGs =(

DL> yes, I agree with this opinion, but I also make the same
DL> request to you... Much more sounds have been sold than
DL> you can imagine.
How many exactly? This, I hope, is not a trade secret?
Is it worth focusing on it?
DL> there is one main remark. by the time the device is released, the software
DL> should ALREADY be there. I paid for the software adapted/written for GS
DL> out of my own pocket, otherwise this business would never have gotten off the ground
DL>! Plus, a lot of money was invested in organizing
DL> production.
And now I want to ask this question: we (KGS & ArtWork) can really
write/adapt software for GS, but for us personally, even one for two groups, GS
simply is not needed (there are more powerful machines for music, etc.). We are not interested in paying money for
what we don’t need, but... GS owners would probably be interested
in receiving from us software written taking into account the capabilities of GS?
So, is there a practice of providing this device for temporary/permanent
use for its own benefit?
By the way, what is its price today and what about distributing it outside
Russia?
From Dmitry Lomov → To All 24 June 1998
TK> How much exactly? This, I hope, is not a trade secret?
about 400.
TK> Is it worth focusing on it?
IMHO, yes.
TK> So, is there a practice of providing this device for
temporary/permanent
TK> use for its own benefit?
possibly, with our full confidence that this benefit is feasible.
possible option: you buy Sound and earn money with it by adapting games according to my order. This option seems to be the most acceptable. for example - Mike Blum paid for his sound four times...
orders for generalization will definitely be.
just in case, we leave ourselves a way to retreat - we can
order 10 games per month...
there is only one condition - the author of the remake undertakes not to personally distribute his
software
product.
the price of dubbing is from $10 to $25 depending on the content of the game.
games we dictate.
TK> By the way, what is its price today and how about distributing
it outside
TK> outside Russia?
the selling price with us personally (we don’t sell by mail) is $30.
if you are in another city, contact Scorpio/Nemo/Logros,
but they are naturally more expensive. if you need a lot, it makes sense to “walk”
to St. Petersburg :), notifying about it in advance.
TK> P.S. By the way, the practice of typing for those who know how to hold a soldering iron, IMHO, has only
raised
TK> I would like to make a profit from this valuable device.
Why not make a similar request, for example, to the company
SONY to receive a kit for assembling a TV? :)
there are not much more details there than in GS.
P.S. X-TRADE in full force is going on a well-deserved summer vacation (from July 1st), all business matters are postponed until September.
All the best.

Tim Kelly loaded to Dmitry Lomov
on the topic "Gigasound+Multisystem!!!"...
Greetings, Tim !!!
[filled with beer]
DL>> about 400.
TK> Not very much, but even if you prepare the game, focusing on 400
TK> person, then a simple calculation - $4 x 400 = $1600 allows us to judge that
TK> a commercial project is most likely to be successful, because GS users are not very
TK>loaded with games for it (adaptations, IMHO, at least a little, will be inferior to the game
TK>which was originally designed for GS).
Think, how many people will buy it right away?
Many can simply watch it from friends, and while they are wondering whether to buy it
or not, etc., or not buy it at all buy-
drink. In addition: what is the problem, and, in your opinion, how long will it take for it not to be broken?
You will be very lucky if they sit on it for a month, but, most likely, it will come much faster => it will appear at the hacker's friends, then at the acquaintances' acquaintances, etc.
So, IMHO, for $1600 you it's not worth calculating. By the way, how much will it cost?
Will there be a demo version? Will the pre-release appear online?
[flooded with beer]
From Tim Kelly → To All 6 July 1998
I greet you from the bottom of my heart, Sergej!
Thu Jul 02 1998, Sergej Koudriavcev squeezed the keyboard, hoping that the following words would reach Tim Kelly:
SK> Throw away, how many people will buy it right away? her
SK> or not, etc., or they won’t buy it at all. In addition: what is the problem, and, in your opinion, how long will it take for it not to be broken?
SK> You will be very lucky if they sit on it for a month, but, most likely, it will come much faster, => it will appear among the hacker’s acquaintances, then among acquaintances, etc.
SK> So, IMHO, you shouldn’t count on $1600
SK>.
I know that. This was the simplest calculation. In addition, the game will be designed for a user without GS, but he will get less pleasure...
So the figure of $1600, taken almost out of thin air, should not lead you astray.
SK> By the way, how much will it cost?
Did you see the calculation?
SK> Will there be a demo version? Will the pre-
SK> release appear online?
Of course, that’s how it’s meant to be. It’s only strange that you’re talking about
a specific game, when I, in principle, just gave an example.
SK> We, however, also hope so. :))
The publication "Mirror" intends to be innear future :)
