GIF, hell yeah!
ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»
From Alexandr Skoropisov → To All 25 April 2002
Wandered on pos.izhnet.ru and found the gigascreen section. There lies Crow#4 and a bunch of
pictures. I downloaded one picture - and there is a gif!
People, please post the diagram itself with a description, because I don’t really want to pull more than 500 kilos from the Internet in real life. And _be sure_ to install a viewer for these very
gigascreens, that is, gifs!
I didn’t know that you can watch gifs on spec!
Don’t ignore my letter, please!
With best wishes, Alexandr Skoropisov.

Melon -> modem <- telephone network -> modem <- PC with *nix <- lynx ->
Melon -> Internet

Software GIGASCREEN needs to be fixed for a specific time frame (N cycles
per line), and with high accuracy: switching screens should
occur while drawing the border, otherwise it will ugly.
Two commands for each line - at least: XOR #08 ;7 bars
OUT (#FD),A ;11 bars
18 bars * 192 lines = 3456 bars. The restrictions imposed on
the program executed in the remaining time are obvious: the program must
be broken into pieces of length 224-18=206 cycles (for Pentagon).
Hardware G$ is a universal solution. OUT (0xEFF7),0x10 - and no
problems ;)

do you want to say that this ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
costs at the provider?

У провайдера вряд-ли. But you don’t have to connect to the Internet through a provider.

Well, that means no way.
