tell me how to make a subject in LARA? I mean, how should I format the letter itself and what flags should be included?

A letter is not needed.
LARA must send a text file *.REQ (*-any 8 characters

inside the file in each line by the name of the requested file. But initially

There is no need to suffer. Lara has nothing to do with it, it's the soaper. But Melon is not designed for this. Better suffer the "Wild" attitude. Even though he is in is-dos, he freaks
with ease.
All the best.

I, IMHO, answered you in kharkov.spectrum on this issue, but
I repeat ;), you can create a regular frack (like a letter), generate a pkt (set the
FileRequest flag), rename
handles to .REQ, and run Melon 1.9 (IMHO - so).
you It’s easy to say, this whole thing has been implemented on Petse, but
they started doing this kind of thing a long time ago, and on the Spectrum relatively recently,
therefore a lot goes through the cracks, but
if you want, you can be patient ;)

How complicated everything is. Can you explain to me why a PKT is needed at all?
For particularly advanced mailers?

Ha I was doing this on the Spectrum more than a year ago already. Everything was done
using 2 programs - Melon 1.80, ZXWORD.
In ZXWORD I wrote a request, one file per line, and sent it with Melon.
Only Melon had to be tweaked a little so that it would send requests.

RM> Has Dismaster really released a new version of Melom?!!
The version of Melon 1.9 is his, but perhaps it would never have seen the light of day :( At the SSG he
distributed the source codes to everyone who was there, although for some reason most of them did not
throw them away from him.
I modified some things in it, as a result of which it improved somewhat,
but at the same time there is deterioration.
I added only a few useful things:
1. Cursor control in the menu.
2. Repeat dialing when you press the spacebar in the soaper.
3. Slightly sped up the dialing process in the soaper.
4. Removed the indication on the border - this is a useless thing for me, but a lot of people have already scolded me for this ;)
5. Page-by-page. flipping in the file selection menu (I still didn’t understand how he
made the flipping, and put other keys, cs+3, cs+4).
6. Removed the initial picture when loading, which once bothered me
to such an extent that the spacebar had to be repaired.

I am limited only by the total length - so far only 8Kb (i.e. somewhere
up to 32 macros with a length of 255). Since macros are purely text strings, then
the length of a specific macro is affected only by the length limitation in the text

These are, indeed, mailer problems. This means that it is so crookedly made.

By the way, it’s interesting, how did you make it? So far today I have come up with two
such tricks:
1) When uploading, everything looks normal, only the logging mode
is disabled (instead of its indicator, the “S” indicator lights up). Everything is simultaneously displayed both on the modem and on the screen. Retention either when the file is completely transferred, or when the break is pressed.
2) When downloading - the usual file receiving screen (how many received, CPU, errors
etc.). The reception continues either until a pause of a few seconds or until a break. The log, of course, is disabled. The reception goes to the file buffer.
Due to the peculiarities of the terminal, every 16Kb the transmitter pauses
for 2-4 seconds.
With all this, hardware flow control (CTS/RTS signals) is taken into account.
How about you?

You would know how serious the problems are... For example, I set the next

at
the beginning, some kind of bullshit slips through, i.e. I can’t really figure out what the boss is up to... in short, glitches... I’m already sick of it.

1. I’m sending the emsidat right away (on a Unix machine they play such jokes)
2. I take ASK490
3. I accept EMSI_DAT
4. I receive a request to upload a file, if not, then I put it on hold.
5. Be sure to press break...
6. Departure from download mode to receive.
And I accept...
I do exactly the same actions in the mailer, and I’m met with nothing but butter...
Uploading the file will download, but nothing to download...
Already my brain is boiling...

Broken off?
Or you can just use a different font...

Who should be proud?
Rather, you want to say that I’m proud, and not the other way around.

It is possible, but not necessary. For me, speed is more important than volume, and if a person
has problems with RAM, then that’s his problem. I personally don’t give a damn about 128
machines lately, since it’s almost impossible to write software normally for these 128
s. Quite a lot of time has already passed that, as a last resort,
save 10 kopecks a day and go ask someone for dibs
expand.
I look at things like initial volume, i.e. the minimum (how much RAM
then it will take up - it will take up - the maximum), and the speed is the maximum.
AM> Because FOUR jars just for typing is really complete insanity.
For 4 fonts it’s not insanity, 1 font per 1 jar.
AM> Do you read the text from the screen so quickly that the scrolling is too slow?
Can you show me with your finger where something is written about scrolling? Nowhere. Afast
output especially in text editors and terminals - oh, how necessary.
In general - yes.
In my text editor (512*192 pixel) I distort it as much as I can, but scrolling
in 2 frames does not suit me, I’m very used to Storm’s frame one, since
with frame scrolling everything is easy to read. But alas, with this mode this is not possible.
I'll post a demo version in a couple of days.
AM> No? - then why speed up so much that there is no memory left for anything useful?
I have enough space for something useful.

No. You have a gap of one pixel between the lines.
You can break your eyes. It’s good when the line spacing is equal to
half the height of the letter or more.

Explain to me why there are 4 fonts? One is enough -> from it you can
make as much as you need.

You can’t :-( But the optimal solution is not necessarily the fastest.
And I was limited by < 2kb of code, I had to put
both the screen and the font and printer.

It is possible on TR-DOS, if you don’t aim for a lot of traffic.
For many, this will be quite enough, and for a long time.
You just need to make it easy to install and configure.
But there are still no prospects - then you will want to Winchester, but no way. :(
We'll either have to modify TR-DOS, or switch to a normal axis...
Someone would make a tosser for the Scavs, or something...
All the best.

Excellent, otherwise This Q-A,O-P was pretty annoying.

They scolded me correctly, the indication is needed.
In version 1.6 there was an excellent indication - the first two bytes of the screen - it was there. It’s very
convenient to watch the process and didn’t irritate me. And the whole border is, of course,
too much... But it’s better than nothing.

Well, yes... Some have a border, and some have a whole screen that changes color...
But why the display? It’s better to fix the Z-modem so that the numbers
show everything correctly (and quickly).
... no day without speccy!
