RM> Let the Scorpio people install the #EFF7 port.
So far I know 2 such Scorpio people... I don’t think
that this is a best, but there seems to be no other way out.
RM> There, the sixth bit is specially reserved for replacing the ROM. The port

RM> RESET.
No, it doesn’t work. Better 1,3,4,5. It’s just that the 6th is not connected to TM9.

RM> Bits:

And I’m inventing this mode, thinking about which bit to set it on...
What is the practical use of it? If only there was a cool demo...
Write to me, plz, about addressing in this mode. Is it like in 512x192?
RM> 1 - screen mode 512*192, b/w.

Also useful. But only switching computer_type/as_in_pentagon.
RM> 3 - turning on TURBO. (planned, no one has implemented it, it seems. imho
also
RM> is not necessary, I get by with a button :)
IMHO it’s better done in Scorpio. IN (#1ffd/#7ffd)
RM> 4 - GIGASCREEN.
What is this and how to use it?
RM> 5 - enabling DOS (planned, so far, it seems, not implemented)
Does anyone really need this? :-/
RM> 6 - blocking the ROM and connecting another, or static RAM.
I would use several bits for this.
You need to:
1. just turn on static instead of ROM r/o mode.
2. static together with the ability to switch its pages and r/w mode.
3. additional ROM in various variations connections.
RM> 7 - clock.
Why do you need a recording bit for this?
RM> So: bits 0, 1, 4, 6, 7 are firmly set. The rest can be used for
something
RM> very necessary. IMHO! But only after a serious discussion in the echo.
More bits are needed for the ROM/statRAM.
There is an idea: port #ХХХХ for reading - read port #7ffd, #effd
and whatever else you want depending on the type of computer.
(#1ffd,#dffd,#fdfd...)

Install IR23.
I actually have TM8 right now. I think, as there won’t be enough discharges, I’ll solder one more
on top.
All the best.

I agree.
My proposal: add bit 3 additionally. Like “write permission”.
KF> There is an idea: port #ХХХХ for reading - read port #7ffd,
KF> #effd
KF> and any others you want depending on the type of computer.
KF> (#1ffd,#dffd,#fdfd...)
Good idea. I like it. There are two free addresses left on ID7: #CFF7 and
#FFF7.
#8FF7, #9FF7 - serial port by VIC
#AFF7 - electronic disk on SIMM up to 4M (project)
#BFF7, #DFF7 - clock.
But there are such ports that it is very advisable to read several.
B Pente is #7FFD and #EFF7. In Scorpa there will be more.
I suggest using address #FFF7 with ID7 + bits 8, 9, 10, 11 of the address bus. The scheme
will be: (1 LESH element + register) for each required port.
I will probably do this only for port #EFF7. Although life will tell.
All the best.
Roman.

RM> This is where bit 5 comes in handy.
RM> (Scorpa doesn’t seem to have this problem? Please clarify the question)
There is a problem. There you can connect 128 and 48 BASIC and
monitor page. But tr-dos - only through the input
on #3dhx or switching from the monitor bank to tr-dos.
In short, nothing can be written to the tr-dos bank in the stat.ram.

RM> I agree.
RM> My suggestion: use bit 3 additionally. Like "write permission".
bit 3 - write permission.
bit 5 - connection instead of ROM.
How to write in tr-dos? A... If you set “write resolution”
then it will immediately be RAM instead of ROM, and bit 3 - “connection instead of ROM”
the BASIC_48_128 / Trdos-Empty (shadow) bank will be selected.

no. The bourgeoisie have the 74 series, we don’t have any analogues.
options - BB55, or a pair of IR35+IR22 back-to-back.

No.
bit 6 - connection of ROM or Stat.RAM (whatever you want) instead of
the standard one.
bit 5 and the DOS signal through the 2I-HE element - on A15 of the new
ROM/Stat.RAM, on its A14 we supply bit 4 of port #7FFD.
bit 3 is simply “write permission”. If it is installed, then
the /WR signal goes to the /WR Stat.RAM input. The one who connected the
ROM simply does not need this bit.
That's all.

Read - does this mean bidirectional register? so that it has a reset
and Z-state - I haven’t heard of this, but if you just need a register with a reset
then it’s 1533IR35 - everything is like the IR23, only the 1st leg is the “/R” input. Or 589IR12. Or
155ИР13.- these are already 24-legged.
Well, that's it. Goodbye, Kirill.
