who has it, is it worth supporting in projects, how to manage them programmatically?
I wonder if there is a .mod player for the subject. it would be nice to have mods either on GS
or to play on the subject, depending on the system.
true, the OS should do this, but you won’t have to wait for it (at least some of it) ;)

I haven’t seen the source codes on the subject, dig the Adventurer magazines, there was info on the
device and the player itself in the application. Regarding GS - the player can be torn out from anywhere or read the documentation, everything is at the above URL.
But on Kovox you can only listen to mods, the processor is 100% clogged, so
you don’t need support in your programs IMHO..

The ROM-ha pulled all the RAM with it. It was without panels.

It still hangs (all square...and blinks), with new control knobs. Even the test ROM

From memory I report that there is a phase shift of the channels.

AD> ROM-ha pulled all the RAM with it. It was without panels.
It can’t be. How many times have I inserted it in the wrong direction? One time the ROM even began to glow from the inside... nothing was damaged. And why would it?
Moreover, *all memory* could burn out only in one case - a failure
of the power supply. Due to short circuit or other reasons. Well, the source
needs to be used with adequate power (250W from the PC is clearly overkill
if there is no HDD and CD-ROM). And besides, there is a wonderful recommendation
from a person and a submarine: turn on the zener diode at ~6 volts
in parallel with the +5v power supply, directly at the input point
to the board.
AD> Oh, I had a lot of fun while I was chewing everything out and soldering the panels.
But in vain. Any panel is a source of bugs.

If it was the power supply that failed, then anything else could have burned out. If there is no
mattress, then with a very high probability the processor itself was damaged,
any microcircuits of the 531 and 1531 series, possibly 1818VG93.
First, you should remove everything unnecessary from the panels, including the ROM, VG
and processor. If there are no vertical, horizontal black and white stripes
and the screen is filled with bright white, the RAM or something in the logic is faulty.
Next, the processor is installed. If there is no mattress (vertical stripes)
, the bus is stuck.address/data, faulty logic (eg
address multiplexer), possibly faulty processor. If there is
a mattress, then the machine is practically working, everything is decided by a memory test and a lot of
small faults, but 48kb BASIC should already start.

In order for the squares to appear on the screen, you need to fill
the video memory with something different from 00 or FF appearing there after
the power is turned on. No one except the processor can do this.
From Andrew V. Miheev → To All 17 December 2004
Why did you decide that after turning on the power the memory is full of 00 or FF? There
can be anything at all. There is even this type of protection of a ROM program
from _running_ on another machine - memory regeneration is turned off for a while, and then the contents are turned on and read. So this content
is unique for each individual microcircuit.

In any case, writing to memory does not work. You can use an oscilloscope
(or by connecting it through a 500-1000 ohm resistor to the base of the transistor
video output) to look at the signals. It is still possible that the data bus is stuck.

What if, when the processor is removed, the mattress appears, but you can see how
individual bytes are constantly changing?
That is. Dots on the mattress appear and disappear. The points are scattered haphazardly, but new ones do not appear. Only those that flicker from the very beginning. The computer
naturally does not start with the processor, it tries, but cannot.

I am a beginner, I warn you right away. But only in the echo, and not in the Spectrum.
I've seen such a non-removable mattress. But I didn’t solder anything (I didn’t know how, or rather I didn’t know
where then). But they pass on their own... with time. If you reset and
ON/OFF for a long time. BP. And most likely he is to blame. Check the heating parts, the voltage at the

/Wait for the Z80 (you need to look at the circuit, but it’s useless to guess, it may turn out to be something
else). But the fact is that the command reading time of the Z80 is shorter than
the time of reading/writing data, therefore, when executing “code” (commands located in
RAM), a problem may arise if the Wait is formed incorrectly (the hardware does not
have time to read the command from RAM)...
