DEJA VU #0B ANNOUNCEMENT
------------------------
MAX>
Have fun, dudes! Contrary to the pessimistic
expectations of the Spectrum brethren, the release date of DEJA VU
#0B is slowly
but surely approaching. As always, a lot of useful information is expected in the new issue. The purpose
of publishing this text is to acquaint the public with the current state of affairs.
The announcement is available in both Spectrum and Inet versions, which are posted on
http://users.info.kuzbass.net/~csp51.
-+---------------------------------------
In fact, the Spectrum version should not have been released in the form of bare text. However
Cardinal has given up on everything (in addition, in a week he is buying a pC), so at least get what you have...
I decided to single-handedly complete the documentation on the m/k, write a programmer and add a compiler (yesterday they calculated - Denis
didn’t do anything in 6 months...). Maybe someday DEJA VU #0B will come out...
From the good: December 8th all members of
Binary Dimension (andalso CAV Inc) finally got together at Cardinal’s house and jointly released DEJA VU #0A (That’s not a typo! We couldn’t get together for a YEAR...). At the same time, for the farewell issue of the magazine, Daniel
seemed to have decided to write his last
dem review, and Ze Pagan vowed to sit down to color the texts the next day...
Since the publication of the Inet version of the announcement
I have received only ONE review...
Note. from 16.12.2001
-+---------------------------------------
First of all, it is necessary to inform you that in terms of music, pictures and animation, the room is fully equipped. Moreover,
it is quite likely that their number will have to be slightly reduced so that the magazine can
fit on a standard disk.
The animation is still converted, and the share of borrowing has sharply increased.
However, hand-drawn animations from
our readers also appeared, which is very pleasing.
The lion's share of the music for the magazine was written by
Macros, for which many thanks to him! Without
his modules we would have had a hard time, because
nobody wants to send music to DEJA VU.
It is appropriate to report here about a little-known mu-
sicmaker from Ovokuznetsk, who sent several of his tracks to the editor.
One of them, most likely, will be used in the intro. In his compositions he appears underpseudonym Nick Gibson.
Also in the magazine there are modules from dj.z
(it’s a pity that there are few of them), the remains of music by Da-
vos (who stopped collaborating with the
magazine and went to PC) and music of other authors.
Of the new people who started collaborating
with us, one cannot help but mention the Siberian Group
from Krasnoyarsk. The artist of the group - Phantom
- sent some very good screenshots, which you can see in the slideshow. Articles from coders from SG are also expected.
I remember that all co-authors of the journal
will be sent a copy of it. It is advisable to just
throw in a blank floppy disk (we sell only three rubles, and they cost from 10 to 19 rubles).
* * *
So, here's what awaits you in the next issue of the useful Kemerovo magazine:
- Hymn DEJA VU (by Macros), with which
it is recommended to start reading the issue. It is recommended to read
while standing, with your right hand on the stack of DV discs and your left hand on the Spectrum :)
- The highlight of the issue is the documentation for the micro
controller KR1878BE1, the volume of which at the moment is 1000 sectors!
The application is planned to include spec-
Trumov's versions of the compiler and programmer for this chip!
You will find a bonus text with a brief description
of the controller at the end of the announcement.
- There are still good articlesby iron. and this time Red Alex did his best,
sending four cool texts, from
which you will learn:
...how to extend the life of flops (and at the same time
floppy disks)
...how to eliminate the miscalculation of Mr. Zonov,
who considered that two disk drives were enough for the buggy Scorp
...how to finally cut off the bad
port #1FFD and bring the squalor called Scorpio into a Pentagon-like state;)
...how to outdo all coders and implement full-screen hardware multi-
color
- There are also publications about such gadgets-
bass:
...four-megabyte SIMM
...16-bit sound
...four hardware screens
- e less interesting articles were collected and
Reverend Cardinal ;) and this time
awaits you:
...scheme for implementing the 512x192 mode for
Scorp, which is distinguished by increased
performance
...Cardinal carding (continuation of the topic of
smart cards)
- the spektrumist lives by iron alone, poet-
That's why Denis expanded into the field of coding:
...FastMath - new, hitherto unseen,
accurate and high-speed procedures for multiplication,
division and squaring...ugh! square root calculations. Let's outdo the bourgeoisie! ;)
...a cunning method of printing written
docs, pdfs and anything else on Spec!
...tearing apart FDI images without pussy!
- Also in the Coding section, read the article
for system programmers from KAPSoft
(sources in the application).
- a good selection of humorous materials. In addition to the borrowed texts, read the fifth part of the adventures of Winnie the Pooh from Crank (“BUGs and how to deal with them”). Also, please do not take
the articles "Hi-Tech" and "Ostalgia" as a guide to action ;)
- Another text from Crank - "Guide
for beginner DJs." You will learn how to hold small discos with
a minimum of equipment.
- Yo! CAV Inc is here again! Read the review
of the system software and an article about the scene!
- Rolling slideshow with graphics from Phan-
tom/Siberian Group
- Creating textures on the Spectrum or
16777216 options for using the
Zygzagger plugin with examples!
- Two articles with useful tips and tricks for owners of Scorpion + HDD
- Reflections on the topic ISA Spectrum
- Continuation of the section "Secrets from the box"
- Report from CSP'2001 (purely Siberian team)!
- Naturally, there will be other articles, as well as
our regular columns.
In addition to new cool articles, certain changes are expected in the magazine engine:
- divisionsetup into two parts: Low
Level Setup (LLS) and GUI Setup (GUIS);
- GUIS will be available both in the main menu
of the magazine and in the leaflet;
- a slideshow viewer will appear;
- the player will be able to play music from the latest versions of Pro Tracker;
- support for #3D13 will be introduced;
- minor code optimization.
* * *
Now about the bad. As you have already noticed,
the timing of the publication of the magazine is being delayed. Here are the
things that should be in DEJA VU, but
don’t exist yet:
- bells and whistles in the shell
- not all the documentation for the microcontrol is ready
roller
- intro (even ideas are missing)
- background
- application
- review of toys and continuation of works
Ze Pagan
- review of dem (absent from the last number-
ra)
- at least some report from CSP'2001
- most of Cardinal's articles
- compiler and programmer for KR1878BE1
(I wrote 50% of the compiler, and the programmer is entirely up to Cardinal)
- CAV's articles (sort of like in writing)
It is in your power to speed up the release of DEJA VU. First of all, moral (and material) support is needed in the following areas:
1) Review of toys, “Elixir of the Beast”, continuation of “Features of the National Rule” and other materials, as well as RELEASE
OF THE NEXT OMERSES. Write ZePagan on
zep...@cmail.info.kuzbass.net and remember
that the fate of DEJA VU depends not only
on the authors of the materials, but also on the editor-in-chief, on whom the entire magazine rests. and at the moment he has practically
left the Spectrum (or so it seems to me).
2) KR1878BE1. If you are interested in
this topic, then:
- write to me (cyb...@aport2000.ru) for general questions and also about the compiler. In
in the end, just tell me that this
is not all in vain.
- write to Cardinal (card...@cmail.info.
kuzbass.net) regarding speeding up the writing of the programmer and finishing documentation. and generally support the person
because with moral support, he is able
to code such sophisticated things as
animation in DV...
3) DEJA VU engine. Denis promised to make
some improvements, so
support him, because in the end
everything is done for you.
4) Dem Review. This is a classic column
whichOnly Daniil is capable
(cs...@cmail.info.kuzbass.net). Let
him understand that a section is needed!
5) Background and perhaps a splash screen for
the magazine (ay, ZSV!). Send options
to any of the specified addresses. Unfortunately, only one of the pictures will be included in the magazine, so the rest will be drawn in vain: (Apparently, it is better to agree on this issue in advance.
6) I would like more voluminous and interesting articles. If you are able to create
something similar - write to us. Many
have something to share, but laziness prevents them
from sitting down with an editor and writing a useful
article.
In addition, it will be very good if
the materials are properly decorated with graphics and/or animation. As an example,
we can cite ZSV Soft's articles from
DEJA VU #0A (and my Dithering #02 ;)
you need to be afraid that your work
will not fit in this issue of the magazine and
therefore will not see the light of day. If materials
are in abundance, this will lead to the release of the next issue, where they will
be published!
7) Future issues of the magazine (I still
hope that there will be some). We really need music (if possible high-quality and varied) and animation. u and,
naturally, ruleznyearticles!
Next, I give the floor to the rest of the members of
BDA.

CARDINAL>
Hello, people! Cardinal is at the keyboard again, that is, me. Max asked me to do something for the announcement, and so...
I'll be honest, I've been very depressing lately with the state of affairs on the Spectrum
including with Deja Vu. no one wants to do anything, except maybe Max. Thanks to him, things are somehow moving forward. Or am I wrong?
You may ask, what about me or Ze Pagan?
Things are as follows:
- Ze Pagan bought himself a pussy and, as we
expected, pushed the Spectrum. Or am I wrong again? A pussy is, of course, a useful thing when it does not harm the common cause. But here the situation is the opposite. Most likely Sanya's mood will change and he will get back to work, I really hope so.
- Everything is simpler for me. I didn't buy anything, I just pushed the work on Deja Vu. I can name many reasons, but the main one is the reluctance to do anything due to the lack
of any return. And who really cares how things are going with me?
Everyone is just yelling: Where is Deja Vu? Why don't you release Deja Vu? Instead of helping with articles, and voluminous articles.
After all, it is much better when the magazine consists
of a small number of interesting, competent articles, and not ofhalf a hundred notes. I am not at all against short notes, but there are too many of them.
By the way, I
received a huge number of reviews for the article about telephone cards.
Apparently people are interested in electronic methods of theft, which is not at all pleasing...
and lastly, I want to say that I have already received as much as 20 rubles for Deja Vu #0B, which has not yet been released. They were sent by the respected
Oleg Gaidarzhi from the town of Bolokhovo, Tula region. What I'm getting at is that I will definitely return the money if Deja Vu doesn't come out. All the best to you.

ZE PAGAN>
Hello guys! I don't believe my own hands! I turned on my Profik again! Since May, this is, in my opinion, the third time... Well,
probably I need to explain the reasons for such a long precipitation of the editor-in-chief (or whatever my name is...). I must
admit that my correspondence with the Spectrum brethren is in no less
deplorable state:( All this is very unfortunate:((
As many already know, the purchase of Stump II 500 played a significant role in
this. Those who
switched from Speck to Stump will understand me. But this is not the main thing... In my personal life big changes have occurred (and continue to occur), and not for the better:(((I will not explain more specifically,
since this concerns only me. One thingLet me just say - I had no time for the magazine! The situation
is still not completely clear. It is quite likely that soon I will have nothing left except
Spec...
but it’s all water. Now about the main thing, about
the magazine. I'm not going to leave Speck, and therefore there will be a magazine, it would be faster to sort out the problems! I won't say anything about the release date, but I think we won't delay it for long. I will try to make every effort to keep the regular columns. Although in my position to write, for example, “Peculiarities of National Rules”, I can’t raise my hand, I’m afraid it won’t turn out funny...
nevertheless, I’ll still try...
It’s good that Max and Denis are still eager to do Dezhik, otherwise...:( I can’t say anything about
Daniil, he himself will
clarify the situation, I I think...
These are the things, but don't bury me
and PlayGear - there will be a magazine!!!
I said everything...

DANIEL>
I will be brief...
Deja Vu #0b, apparently, will be
the last in the form in which it was originally conceived
The ideology of Deja Vu has completely
exhausted itself, as sad as it may be. I guarantee that these thoughts come to mind not only to me, but also to all those who are directly related to this publication, I was the first to decide to say this, therefore,as they say, “I am responsible for the market.”
Why did I decide to talk about this? Yes, because I, like no one else, stood at the origins of the birth of DV (it would be appropriate to say that I invented it). Undoubtedly, the magazine's cover is simply the best to date, for which special thanks go to Denis (Cardinal). oh, we must admit, we
cannot give the user the information
that he would need at this stage
of the development of Spectrum affairs! I consider the most successful issues of Deja Vu #06 and #07,
#08, this was the peak of the magazine’s rise. These numbers are closest in ideology to the project I conceived in 1997! The above does not in any way mean that I am leaving the Spectrum, in any understanding of this phrase, because... more often, however, I now work under an emulator. This is just another
turn in the development of our association! There may be new projects!
I am sure that my point of view will be
attacked by my colleagues, but this will in no way resolve the deadlock that has developed at the moment.
Deja Vu Final Assault Coming Soon!!!
