Deja VU

ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»

From Roman Milukov To All 15 August 1999

Hello, All!

The magazine Deja VU #7 got into my drive...
It’s designed well, the interface is user-friendly, everything is fine... But then I look into the "Drop of Solder" section, and I get the impression: somewhere, once upon a time, I've already
seen this... ;)

"1mb 30pin SIMM" (c) Ivan Mak - connecting a SIMM to The Pentagon and Leningrad. The one that flew in this echo, however, was under the copyright of AXLR!!! 8[ ]

"VG93 and HD disks" (c) AXLR - well, at least they preserved the copyright. But the scheme is old, with
errors. I ask AXLR: “Why did you send a glitchy circuit to the magazine?” Answers:
"I didn't send it!" So, pay attention, All, be careful when “dropping solder.” Those who
read this echo regularly have seen the corrected diagram, but I feel sorry for others who
do not have access to the network. :(

This is such an attack of “déjà vu”. :-/

All the best.
Sincerely, Roman.

What are the complaints against you? It’s just that I used to naively believe that
editors of journals publish materials only in agreement with the authors. :(
The materials were pulled from the Internet, was it really difficult to contact the authors?

And by the way, they promise the authors a free disk with a new
number for the materials sent! Did they send it to you? :)

That’s for sure. We could have contacted them. Otherwise they also pull glitches from the network...

They didn’t send me anything. :) I actually found out about this when someone I knew told me, and then he brought me this very magazine and I was convinced of it with my own eyes.

I haven’t seen a newer #7.
And the editors don’t have a fidish address. (e-mail seems to be there)
