Dallas DS1287

ZXNet echo conference «real.speccy»

From Aleksey Sidelnikov To All 4 June 1999

Glad to welcome you, All!

Who can tell me what is the difference between the subject and the 512VI1? And if possible
in more detail. In particular, why is it not possible to replace 512VI1 with a subject (for example, in PROFI). Is this a feature of switching on or
programming and how can you solve this problem?

Have a strong connection!

Aleksey Sidelnikov.

From Dmitry Pavluhin To All 7 June 1999

Greetings, Aleksey

Once on 04 Jun 99 at 04:37:35 there was an argument, Aleksey Sidelnikov and All were discussing
the topic of Dallas DS1287.
I decided to add some heat to this dialogue.

AS> Who can tell me what is the difference between the subject and 512VI1? And if
AS> it is possible,
At one time I didn’t have any problems with the Scorpov screw controller. Both 512VI1 and DALLAS 1287/1187 worked.

Regards, Dmitry Pavlukhin.

They already told me what was the matter, but thanks anyway
for your response. The glitch was associated with 1 leg, which is not
used in 512VI1, and in the subject it had to be set to +5V.

KF> Try connecting the 1st pin to GND or power.

And it really helped! After I closed pins 1 and 24
everything began to work, although in the four-box mother (where the subject was located)
pin 1 was sitting on the ground, and not on the power supply! :)
