From Kirill Frolov → To All 11 January 2003
Adapter for connecting a tape recorder (well, there is a different port...)

KD> Is it possible to connect CDOS modem to an IBM PC?
No.
KD> What kind of communication protocol is implemented there?
Its own, with other Vicomm modems (Vicomm, XTR and C-DOS) partially

Something similar to X-Modem. The lower level is blocks of 128 or 256 bytes with a checksum. Compatible only with itself. The newest versions of drivers for EMS have RLE compression of transmitted data. Rulez, by the way.
