A brief chronology of CAFe Party events. ver [0.6]
Day zero, August 23, 2002.
Quiet rainy day.
somewhere between 16 and 24 hours...
Installation and initial configuration of equipment, laying all kinds of cables,
telephone, Internet. By 23:00 the network is ALREADY working, there is internet at the party!
Day one, August 24, 2002.
Quiet rainy morning.
12:45 More than a long introductory speech performed by Unbel!ever-a.
I remembered everyone, in some places and with a kind word. ;)
13:30 Final check of “all systems” in an extreme way -
by scrolling through a couple of dems and 64k intros. The sound sucked at times.
13:50 Start compos!64k web page. Total 5 works.
14:15 ASCII graphics compo. A total of 8 works, immediately followed by ANSI graphics
compo - a total of 6 works.
14:40 Break for 20 minutes.
15:15 Start of ZX-Spectrum ay music compo. In total, about 30 tracks were sent,
of whichrules 20 passed the preselection. The sound was adjusted by Megus and Andy Fer.
15:40 ZX-Spectrum ay music compo has ended.
15:53 ZX-Spectrum Graphics compo begins. There are 25 works in total. Rules!
16:08 ZX-Spectrum Graphics compo is over. A break was announced for 15 minutes,
then the start of 512 bytes intro compo.
16:28 Adam Bazaroff announced that the next one would be Coca-Cola drinking compo.
17:00 The number of dems on the z80 increased from 3 to 6!
17:01 Watching retro classics on ZX - EYEAche-2, PSG WINS, Navy Seals from RST7
and of course, Shit for Brains from the no less legendary PROGRESS.
17:53 512bytes intro compo began.
18:15 512 bytes intro compo ended, 15 works were presented, the winner
is simply impossible to predict - most of the works are VERY strong and the competition
will be fierce. ;)
18:35 The demo compo on the Spectrum has begun, while the third demo is underway, but we can already
say that the level of work in the demo compo on the z80 will also be VERY high!
19:10 The demo compo on the z80 ended with an extraordinary sensation, try to guess
from whom the last demo on the compo was. :) The audience rejoiced!
19:36 Beginning of mp3 compo. A total of 15 works.
20:35 Finally :) and this compo is over. As always, the works are varied
and each is interesting in its own way. And with the end of compo, the first day of
CAFe\'2002 ended with the submission of vote lists. ...And the hidden party of the first day began! See you again! ;)
--->> from myself: the demos are dumbfounded, they say! The Screamer deme is especially cool! with
--->> music by D-joois!!
