Someone once asked about a viewer for bitmap images, so I’ll give up.
But I warn you that the program was created for its own needs and in the process
of training and study :) so it does not shine with the “beauty” of the code (especially the calculation procedure number of bytes in a line - then I didn’t yet know that it all comes down to 4
bytes :) The program also does not provide control over reaching the boundaries of the bitmap when displayed on the screen.
Briefly about the program.
It itself finds files on the disk in bmp format, so you can put any
extension - the file structure is checked, i.e. it takes from the zero track
information about all files and then checks the first sector of each
file
and if the first characters are BM, then the program considers that this is a bitmap (of course
it would be necessary to check the file length in the header with the actual file length for
more confidence). At the very beginning of the program, the screen decompressor is called - if you don’t like it, you can remove and display the inscriptions in the usual way, which can save memory. The maximum size of the picture is 32 kB (made for 48
machines - too lazy to do it for 128).
The name of only one file is displayed on the screen, to select the remaining files you need to
use the Q and A buttons, Enter - select.
R - reread the disk
X - exit to DOS
Q - up
A - down
O - right
P -left
Space - exit from viewing
I - inversion of the picture (some bitmaps appear inverted when displayed on the screen)
S - writing the current screen to disk in Spectrum format (file SCREEN.C, there may be several such files on the disk - no overwriting being produced)
That's all.
P.S. In addition to the main files dd.B, dd1.C, compr.C, the archive contains the source on
ALASM and a couple of pictures.
$$$ With best wishes ... Alex
